11-year manual CTS-V wagon owner here. Great video. Mine is stored for the winter, so I have to live vicariously through you. Yes, it’s heavy, yes, default to understeer, and yes, body roll, but mannnnnnn…that supercharger whine and the driving experience, make for some very fast Home Depot runs. PS I’m mostly a Hondacura person, but still love my V wagon after all these years.

@@moe4e Yup! Sitll have it. I posted it up for sale for 8 hours back in December, woke up, took the ad down realizing this would be a horrible mistake. I rotate it out ever few weeks for a few days to keep the fluids moring and the seals from drying out LOL

@neuronbob Glad you kept the Vagon. I sold my black raven V2 sedan with over 220k miles on it. I miss that car every day but started getting the itch for something German 😢. I see myself in an Opulent blue metallic vagon in a few years if I can't find the perfect German replacement 😝😑

I would have liked to see the cargo area, also back seat. I get that it's rare, but 70k still seems like a lot of money for a 10 year old Cadillac.

I think the paint job justifies the price for collectors, they only made a handful in this color.

@@ronsvg97-25 Yeah, don't get me wrong, I've always wanted one of these V wagons with a stick, I'm just not sure if I had 70K to spend, I could ultimately go with this over, for example, a CT4-V Blackwing. From what I hear, these wagons (I know someone who had a regular non V version) aren't actually all that roomy in the cargo area. So then we're basically down to a price, fit, finish, comfort, driving dynamics comparison.

I own a 2014 manual wagon. You hit it right, it's all about excellent steering feel and a comfy ride in a surprisingly quick wagon. Also, the ESP is lenient, so you can hoon it with a safety net.

i own a 2011 v wagon with about 24k miles on the clock. definitely one of my fave cars ive owned so far the super charger whine is so addicting, ive owned a bunch of turbo cars but that instant torque is so fun.its an automatic but its perfect im older now and have back problems so shifting in traffic is not ideal. i drive it to and from the golf course 2 miles from my house lol doubt ill be putting major miles on it. dont plan on selling but once these hit the 100k mark itd sure be tempting.

I remember at the time this generation CTSV came out, it was a game changer. Fastest sedan around the Nurburgring. The wagon will always be iconic

I've got a 2012 manual V wagon. I've had mine for about 9 years and love it. You should try one with some light mods. With just exhaust, intake, pully, flex fuel mine was putting 630 to the wheels.

Ive got a similar car, an E55 Kompressor Estate - 7 seater. Another blown V8 wagon but with a much bigger boot. The Caddy looks much more sportier and ofc handles much better, both mega cool cars. The M113K even with the 5g does seem to have more low end torque and boost alot sooner based on this video.

Always liked these, and I'm from the UK, so we never see them over here. Only see the usual BMW, Mercedes AMG and Audi. I'd guess this very much like an AMG with all that torque and weight.

Owner of a 14 manual V wagon and 12 auto V sedan.. I will say the sedan handles a tad bit better than the wagon of course, but something so different about my manual wagon… there is nothing like it at all. Going to turbo the auto sedan and just go bigger blower on the wagon. Good video!!

Go to slightly stiffer Eibach springs (not by much), aftermarket sway bar, and switch the bushings in the front to polyurethane and the body roll situation will be vastly improved. :D

You need to get in a CT5-V Blackwing. Only want for mine: I wish the supercharger was as loud as this! I can never hear it. Also, it doesn't stay as hooked up as this wagon, so it's even stupider (in a glorious way).

I think this review was approached with more the thought that this was a sports car and not a wagon with a powerful V8 and stick. It's not meant to be a corner carver, I would love one for a daily if it didn't have that Caddy gaudiness at the exterior.

What did he think He was getting the. Uber light, track edition wagon?! No, it’s a big ol American wagon with a big ol supercharged v8 and a stickshift to boot. And will haul your kids and groceries and still smoke a lot of so called 2 seater sports cars. It does Exsctly what it was built for!

Just looked up some details on this car and Cadillac publishes spring rates as 65Nm/mm front 90Nm/mm rear which seems quite low for the weight especially at the front end. For comparison my modified M35 Stagea is almost identical dimensions, track, wheelbase and weight distribution but weighs 350kg less and I'm currently on 120Nm/mm front springs and 100Nm/mm rear. I realise you can't compare spring rates directly without knowing motion ratios and wheel rates but both cars use similar looking SLA front suspensions. Perhaps an aftermarket suspension would really dial the fun up in this one!

They don’t go for $70k anymore that was Covid pricing. A 2013 6 spd wagon, fully loaded with minor quality mods and only 47k miles sold in march for $56k. On Bring a trailer.
