Seeing the attack form deoxys get deleted, maybe you could one shot it with a fast move with a max attack boosted chandelure with incinerate/hex, also amazing vid as always!

Hex has lower damage per fast move than incinerate. Even four times boosted hex does not one shot. But three times boosted incinerate leaves deyoxys between 2-6HP depending on IVs. A four time boosted incinerate straight one shots.

Chandelure does more damage with triple boosted incinerate than a quad boosted talonflame does. So a quad boosted talon cannot one shot attack deoxys but a quad boosted chandelure can.

This goes to show how unfairly the attack stat is given importance in the GBL. Considering the pokemons to have the max overall stat product (referred as rank 1 for given species) , Attack forme deoxys would deal 26 HP of damage on to Regular Machamp using zen headbutt while taking 15 HP damage per counter. Where as the defense forme deoxys would deal 11HP of damage per zen headbutt while only taking 3HP damage per counter. We can see that the attack weighted counterpart takes 5 times the damage while the damage output is less than 2.5 times. This just makes a lot of the attack weighted pokemons useless in PVP even though they have good moves. They really need to rework how CP is calculated and maybe also adjust their damage calculations. Pokemons already get a multiplier to attack when there is STAB or if it is a shadow or is a super effective move. They could very well add a speed stat and associate corresponding multiplier to the energy gain. For example, if azumarill reaches hydropump with 8 bubble Fast moves then it would be fair to have some pokemon like greninja reach the same move with 6 bubble fast moves. The META is pretty stale with the few pokemons that have good bulk. It will get so much better if they bring in the speed stat and also give the attack stat the weightage it deserves.

@@s2anity You are absolutely right. And the cause for that is how CP gets calculated. In the Great League , where pokemons have to be under 1500 CP, Defense Deoxys hits it around Lv 24 while Attack forme is about Lv20. And the stats they respectively get , is what you mentioned above. If we were to simply swap the places of the attack and defense stat in the formula for CP calculation , then things change drastically. Now Defense Deoxys would hit 1500 CP at Lv 16 while the Attack forme would only reach a CP of 1100 even at Lv51. And if you simulate the battle , even a two shielded Lv 16 defense deoxys cannot beat an unshielded attack forme deoxys of Lv 51. Swapping the attack and defense stat in the formula is stretching it to far , but there is clearly some balance that can be achieved. The base stats that pokemons get are somewhat in line with the main series games but when it comes to CP and damage calculation , it gets messed up. You see a lot of attack weighted pokemons perform consistently poorly compared to the bulky ones. Whether it is CP restricted or not , this problem does persist. If we consider the legendaries cresselia and darkrai. At Lv 40 , they have CP of 2857 and 3739. But Cress still has a slightly higher stat product ( about 5%). So they are fairly equal in the master league. But when it comes to Ultra League , Cress simply dominates. The stat product being 60% higher than darkrai. Typing and move set aside , we can clearly see the attack weighted mons have a disadvantage in PVP.
