love when i0ki plays my main! More Zyra please! A couple of points that you probably know but weren't included in the Zyra guide: - If you are in a bush, your passive will not spawn plants, so if you control the lane bush, you want to go out, put your passive on CD, then go in again. I think the passive plants also tends to spawn closer or into the bushes. - You can change the target of your plants by AAing or hitting enemy champions with abilities. This is useful when you miss the enemies with your abilities but you spawn plants and they start attacking minions, if you're in range sneak an AA and that will change the plants to attack and thus poke the enemy champions. Can also be useful when farming minions, or in team-fights for switching targets. - Once you get Rylas you pretty much want only Q plants. The slow from Rylas it's the same as the slow from your E plants, and they don't stack, but the Q plants are also ranged so they're just better at this point. - When you prepare an objective, don't only use your passive, spawn some w plants as well, put that skill on cool-down so you can spawn MORE plants. - Your ult explanation is good, but you forgot to mention that the ult not only empowers your plants (more AAs, more damage, more health, bigger size), but it also resets the life-span of the plants. This is particularly useful when you rush an objective, you can spawn all your plants, and right when they are about to expire, you cast your ult, and that will double their life-span, it's pretty broken actually, at some point I could 1v1 the baron with that strategy (just stay 30 seconds in the pit while spamming w and passive plants, summon all with a q, right before they expire use your ult, it's insane damage output) - speaking of that reminded me, the plant seed lives for 45 seconds if it's from passive, and for 60 seconds if it's from W. Both passive and W can spawn up to 8 seeds each, if for example you have insane AH and try to spawn more then 8 seeds, the first ones would disappear. So keep that in mind when preparing for an objective, or even if you want to give a huge leash to the jungle (although if they are not careful you might steal the buff unintentionally haha). Also, killing any enemy (minions, monsters, epic monsters, or enemy champions) your W gets refunded, so you can actually spawn more plants by taking the waves. This is what makes Zyra pretty decent as a jungler. As a niche, you can use this for kitting when your team is dead and you have to delay the enemies from getting to your tower, spawn plants, kill their wave, spawn plants again, if they don't have mobility champions alive, you can keep a lot of people busy this way. - Skill max order can be different depending on your game-plan and comp, Zyra is one of those champions where you can actually max anything first. So, Q max gives you more damage and more CD on Q, W max reduces the CD for plants, and E max increases the damage and the root duration, but not the CD. So, if I need to play safe in lane, I do E max first for the CC duration, if not I Q max for more poke/damage. Then, it depends again on your role in the team. If you already have a high CC team, and they don't have a champion that easily kills the plants (*cough**cough* Irelia) then you can max W 2nd, that actually gives more damage over time then E 2nd because of how insane the plants are, and it's more reliable, but if you also need burst damage, then max E 2nd. Same goes for range advantage in botlane, if they have short-range ADC and support, go for Q max, if not, go for E max, it has a longer range, and when you inevitably catch them, the longer duration will let you and your ADC get in rage to actually do damage. - Last but not least, once you get into the character role, you must feel offended when enemies steps on your plant buds, they kill your babies! You must make them PAY! PS: I also got baited by black fire, it has the classic Lost Chapter, which is nice to get early on Zyra as she only has mana issues early, it has flat burn compared to % HP burn of the Liandries, so theoretically it's better value early and against the squishy bot targets, but somehow it does almost 0 damage, so yeah, definitely liandries into rylas or zhonyas, you can throw on some oblivion orb if they have healing, they just nerfed the item into the ground because it's OP to have 2 good burn items, so I guess they made 1 useless. I miss epic Liandries/demonic embrace-before-nerfs-to-range/rylas/zhonyas-before-it-was-so-absurd-to-build-for-supports Zyra.

There are a few little things you can do differently with Zyra. Like w range is longer than q so u can get vision in a bush sooner, q next to the bush and w in the bush. You can land q on them under tower but try to place the plants outside tower range if they're not pushed too far back. If you're going to base and u have seeds on the ground you should usually just activate them unless you're going to mess up a wave or something. In no way do I think I'm as good as you, I've just played a bunch of Zyra, well played.

back when I played league, when I'd play velkoz mid (one of my best champs, because honestly he was super OP) I'd literally ult on cooldown. as soon as I was 6, Id just q (hope it lands) and r immediately after, just to assert dominance. Usually did most of their hp bar, if not killed them because most players would play up against vel. nothing in the game can block lasers, so it just made sense to shoot it right at their faces. Especially against yasuos, this was VERY satisfying.

Hey i0ki, love the video! i had never considered playing support until i started watching your content and saw how much of an impact you could have on the game. Question for you - if you were on the opposite team what does that game look like for you? i really struggle with champions like rakan and leona specifically against the cait/zyra matchup. just hoping to get a little insight from the GSA!

Doing great with zyra can make a harder mid game because it usually means your team isn't taking the kills they should be taking. It's good to be ahead but I lose a lot of zyra games I'm hard stomping because my team is tilted to death and gives up.

GGWP ! When 2 of the same plants attack the same target, the second one does 50% dmg, so try using only one to be able to spawn one with your other spell too. Also space it a lil bit from your skill shot so they might not be able to attack it depending on their range. Plants are soooo squishy compared to heimer's turrets for instance ...

Try electrocute. Procs on E + Q and plant auto, does insane dmg early. PS. What elo are you playing these games at? Some of the things people say in chat are mind bogglingly stupid. Also: The damage from the ult actually comes not when you cast it but when it hits the person when it spreads out from the center. So it hits the people in the center before it hits people on the outside.

There is verticality in League. It is not on champion abilities though. It is only in the river. The river is actually lower on the Z axis than the rest of the map which can make landing skill shots pesky to say the least when aiming into or out of the river.

It's more like a slope than actual verticality, you won't miss a spell because it went above or below someone, it's just that when you aim straight at someone and it goes through a slope it might feel like it's not that straight. All hitboxes are at ground zero at all times 👍
