Taric player here, I notice somethings weurd about the way you level up his spells. You always want to have Q in either 2 or 4 because you gets the stacks when auto atacking with your passive. Heres the rules I follow: At level 1 its always E At level 2 its a choice I tend to pick Q in favorable matchups because Q is (interestingly) taric main damage tool but you can pick up w ig you are expecting a gank At level 3 its wathever skill we didnt pick At level 4 is really important to ALWAYS PICK Q, is a thing you didnt do and it pretty much halves your healing early game If you dont understand why then give a look the way Q stacks works Then we max E Give 2 points to Q (leaving it level 4) and then maxing our W Taric got a weird way to level up his spells but i believe this way to be correct and more effective I dont believe you played wrong but this way should work best You should try rush echoes of helia btw And if taric feels too reactive You can play it like me with hexflash and bullying the enemy laners till they cry

yes, putting that second point into Q actually makes each heal *TWICE* as large, assuming youre doing two auto attacks between each heal. sometimes i even put the second point into q at level 3, and just walk up to my adc to give them the benefit of the AOE heal.

Great stuff here. I mained Taric for a while and always did the 2 points in Q, but it didn't occur to be how effective and optimal 4 points could be instead of 3 or 5. Makes perfect sense. I'm going to try leaving it at 4 next time I play him and wait to max it at lvl 18. Usually I max E first, then Q, but will leave it at lvl 4 and go into W

i dont like echoes because it scales poorly and there's so many other important items to get first like Locket, FimbulWinter, Knights Vow, and then ideally Zeke's for more resistances which scales for you far better than AP from Echoes does

Fellow Taric enthusiast here, been around 60-70% wr with him for like 6 or 7 seasons, no expert but if got some mileage under my belt. He honestly has never not been really good, maybe a couple nerfs made me go 55% for a week but his real power comes from people not knowing how strong he really is. Countless times I am in lane solo vs a full health adc and im just trying to get the wave crashed, they come within E range and since i run glacial if i hit the E they cant get away so i can just keep cycling my skills to get passive autos and I just accidently kill them 1v1, or even sometimes 1v2. I also love how long he can stay in the fight, if you have mana and can consistently auto then you basically have a full health bar, not to mention if you are low you can sit at the edge of W range and heal/shield/stun from a distance, its even better if when you are on the outskirt of the fight you have some minions or enemy supp to auto so you get passive cd reduction, even if you are chasing someone down, if you walk past a minion wave you can auto it to get your E cd back and maybe hit the flash stun. Theres so many little things about taric like his unique positioning and mechanical timing (that isnt hard, just unique and really fun to me.) The only thing i found difficult to get used to when i started playing him was the timing on his R, it is one of the longest windups for an R that is such high value so you have to really know the enemy's damage. The only real downside is that if you go supp with Taric you really have to rely on your team, the good thing is that a really good Taric can make some of the worst adcs go even in lane, and if adc is just useless Taric can just build frozen gauntlet and he actually does big damage, its fun going that 1st when playing Taric top/jg which is so insanely fun cause you can do unique stuff like heal ur mid while doing chickens lol. And yes, getting the stun on someone else from far away is such a nice feeling, almost as good as a yeehaw imo. Once hit the stun off a briar when she dashed with R, ill be chasing that high for a while. Also his ban rate is so low cause he is the most common bot champ in low elo, fr when i play in like bronze elo everytime in the lobby my adc asks "Taric u a bot" and i just say "beep boop" cause i cant answer that question seriously 10 times a day lol

I probably won't make a whole dedicated guide for it, but I can give you a few things that I think about when calling barons. 1) your team's proximity to the baron -- how close are you? I also account for the fact that it's soloQ and not everyone will respond immediately. It has to be a good enough call that even with a ~7 second delay it still works out. 2) How many members of the enemy team are dead OR in botlane and thus too far to respond 3) Your team's damage vs baron -- having your ADC is usually a must, but if you have a mage like Brand or anyone that does good extended burn damage you can still do it. 4) Will the enemy team expect it? Is it an off-the-wall call, did they see you walking towards it, etc. 5) Is the enemy team preoccupied? For instance if it's 40 seconds before DRAGON spawn the enemy team will likely be setting up at dragon and expecting to see you THERE which places them on the other side of the map and unexpecting of a slick Baron. 6) Who on YOUR team is showing + what are they doing? For instance if your splitpushing toplaner is BOTLANE with a big wave that's about to crash, you know for a fact at LEAST one member of the enemy team will be in botlane soon, preferably TWO people to counter the split. Baron calls are complex and have millions of different contexts, but I hope this helps a bit!

There are games I genuinely want to lose because the people I am playing with are absolute trolls. However, that emotional response is a response to actual trolling which includes intent. People that are bad I give leeway to if they are trying. If I say something like, "Hey can you come help us with dragon next time?" or "Can you split top?" or "Can you cover X on the map?" in trying to get them to work with the team and they say something like "piss off" I am done with them. I am positive until they are negative. Then I don't care anymore about winning that game. I still try, but it isn't 100% anymore. So when I see something like how that Yasuo responded at around the 18:00 mark then I am done as well in games like that. There has to people literally trolling in the game for me to stop giving my all and it has to be something. Unfortunately for league that happens far too often.

Taric is just one of those champs. For years he's consistently had among the highest win rates for support but for whatever reason his pick rate is basically zero.

He's a very reactive champion (outside of his Flash for Flash stun plays) so he's pretty much just waiting for the enemy to make a play and then he uno reverses it. If you're not in the mood for htis style of play he CAN be boring. I had fun this game tho!
