Zyxel VMG8924 / VMG8324 Wireless ADSL / VDSL router - Unbox and review

A short video in which I unbox and review the performance of the Zyxel VMG8924 / VMG8324. These two units are almost identical other than the wireless provision.
They have the BCM63168 chipset which is another excellent performer from Broadcom and works really well on my long and noisy line.

Thanks for the video. Just FYI, the IP you tried to blur out on the settings screen is initially unreadable, then becomes less blurred and readable from 3:56 onwards

I have a VMG8924 and it seems to work fine for me, even the Wi-fi, not that I am big Wi-fi user as most of my devices are wired, but my printer is Wi-fi and so is my phone and they seem to work fine. Plusnet sent me mine as the Hub one would not connect to the network the Zyxel is great, not sure if I would buy one mind you as the price is a bit high.

Thanks for your feedback z, I certainly agree they are a decent choice and have an excellent modem chipset (Broadcom)- mine are used as modems, are both rock solid and they can now be bought cheaply second hand. One of these in good condition for £30 second hand is a far better option than a similarly priced new router. AM
