Billy has the blues voice. Dusty has the rock voice. I think Dusty is one of the best rock cocals ever. ZZ Top is best when they sing together IMHO. Stuff like this and Beer Drinkers.

Simply one of the most bad-ass and original riffs ever. Love 70's ZZ Top. I used to listen to XEROK dominate the air waves from across the border and there was nothing the FCC could do about it. I heard a lot of great music on the "X."

Just listened to the whole album as it's amazing they still sound just like they did way back when these were recorded! Billy Gibbons is every guitar players guitar hero. I'm telling you those 70s albums are another breed of cool. Billy's tone and ability to have the finest touch or just rip your head off in his licks is second to none. He is one of my biggest influences and one bad motha.. Rest In Peace Dusty Hill.. one of the best voices in rock n roll and certainly top 10 bassists of all time ✌🖤🤘 🌹

Went to the concert last Wednesday night in Grand Island. First time with out Dusty. Sad and shocking at first but Elwood did a fine job filling in for Dust. Elwood needs to relax more tho....we got ya Elwood! Tim Montana and the Shrednecks opened the show and they kicked ass! Overall perfect show! Billy was on fire and Frank looked and sounded great! Will be seeing you all again in 2 months at Pinewood bowl!

Yeah, but Frank isn't anywhere the drummer he was when they recorded this, or even well into the 90s. The original version, and live versions from e.g. Rockpalast 1980, are mind-boggling.

When I was a teenager I would always listen to XEROK, the 150,000 watt (AM) Border Blaster located in Juarez MX. across the river from El Paso TX. Could here it loud and clear in Colorado at night when they cranked up the power.

It was 1978-80 that I flew them on several tours around the country. What a hoot it was to fly theses guys. Franks girlfriend went with us most of the time. She is his wife now. Dusty always sat up front in the cockpit with me. Got to know him quite well. And I sure do miss him now.

El Loco was my first zz concert in Lincoln Nebraska at perishing. Walked in with cheap sunglasses and t shirts and come back out to a good ole Nebraska blizzard. 41 years and well over 20 concerts from one side of the states to the other end and all points in between.
