Bye Dusty "We are saddened by the news today that our Compadre, Dusty Hill, has passed away in his sleep at home in Houston, TX. We, along with legions of ZZ Top fans around the world, will miss your steadfast presence, your good nature and enduring commitment to providing that monumental bottom to the ‘Top'. We will forever be connected to that "Blues Shuffle in C.” You will be missed greatly, amigo. Frank & Billy

As I have heard others say for some time now, there comes an age (turning 52 next week) when your music icons are going to reach the end of the tour. The initial response is often "so sad, no more new songs", but it should be thanks for all of the songs, concerts and memories, in my aging opinion. Be at peace Dusty and thanks for the memories.

You can't see these guys in concert and NOT have a smile on your face. Saw them in the 80's, and still unforgettable. I would rather see them than Eric Clapton.

For some reason, Dusty’s passing hit me differently, than any other recent musician’s passing. God’s peace to the family, and of course the band. Rest In Peace with Elvis, Dusty.

It's nice when Billy walks in and begin to play unexpectedly. He's playing is like breathing. Very easy but effective.

I'm old. I've seen a LOT of concerts dating back to $5 music festivals. ZZ Top is by-far one of my most memorable.

As a kid, 15 , I learned all the songs on my bass. That was 1977. Taught me a lot. I became an accomplished bassist. I owe gratitude. The dude was the "Bottom". Simple, and the core of good bass work. Anyone here with know how gets it. The dude stayed simple and BOTTOM. We owe a lot for him not trying to be Chris Squire. I learned a lot at a very young age that paid off so many years later. These guys are a class act. Thank you, Dusty. Flame on man.

I always loved the careful choreography of their Schtick. Billy played with Hendrix, that still blows me away.

Saw them at Sturgis in the same year as this concert in 2010. Great show. RIP Dusty.

I love how Billy is already playing as he's casually strolling out on stage. Like a baseball player doing his own walk-up music as he steps up to the plate. What a badass!

Saw them in Dallas starting in 1972 thru 2004 Crossroads Guitar Festival and saw them at least 10 times. Love them and will forever miss Dusty.
