"Dad, why isn't there anyone else like ZZ Top"...... my daughter, the genius, at about age 9. About 1997. I bought my first ZZ Top 8-track about 1972. And have all their library.... and until she asked me I hadn't ever wondered - I just knew. There ain't no one out there gonna ever replace these boys. My friends.... TODAY is the day the music died. The Rockpalast concerts staged by German TV in the early 80s (this is where this footage was taken) really were something. A live broadcast. Three bands in a row, each giving a full length concert. A good mix of established bands and upcoming new artists and always worth it to stay up til waaayy after midnight. It was a good time to be young in the 80s. The downside is that your heroes of back then are starting to leave now. RIP Dusty Hill
