After years being behind the drums, closing your eyes isn't all that hard to do. You know where everything is, in front of you. And you play the songs as you have for years. I've seen ZZ Top twice and I've been working and playing Drums and Guitar for a few decades and that is the thing about ZZ. They, for a Three Musician Band have attained from the start an incredible high intensity Shuffle-Slide with a killer Bassist that is, to me, a one of a kind Sound and Tone that is easy to listen to... for many decades now. Especially when I caught them Live. In Vancouver I saw ZZ live on the "Afterburner" tour. My ears rang for a couple of days.
