I like how Billy Gibbons handles himself, just stops what he was doing to answer a long winded personal question with patience and grace. Think about how long Billy and Dusty knew each other and all that they experienced together over 60 years +/-. Now imagine a stranger coming up to you with a camera and asking about your oldest brothers estate issues and an investor flip of his house and personal belongings. Billy didn't care about the stuff in the house, he just thought it was tacky to cash in Dusty's stuff and act like it sanctioned by the band. They say never meet your heroes or you will be disappointed. I would love to bump into Rev. Gibbons ask him about Lightnin Hopkins or Johnny Winter or Millon other things after thanking him for his service to mankind. I have seen ZZ Top 5 times and the last show with Elwood was one of the best, gonna see again in September.

first time i saw them was '74 -hollywood palladium. they were 2nd on the bill, amps broke down mid-show- and they still got 2 encores! i was playing bass at the time, and i seriously felt like selling it, and trying something else! no one else EVER made me feel that way. i saw them 3 times after that- but that first night was MAGIC!

I really like this guy and his music. He's great. Ironically, I feel super bad for him that he ripped off Linden Hudson, the guy who helped him write Eliminator - which vaulted their fame. They are both good guys who should eventually come together and f' the money. Linden introduced the whole drum machine thing (which I personally ain't a fan of) and was irretrievably responsible for their success. He eventually got some small credit (after suing) for the album. Peace homies. Hope y'all work it out..
@jamesspalten59774 ай бұрын
This is very similar to the story of Chuck Wepner. Chuck was fighting Ali and Stallone got the inspiration to write Rocky. After Stallone had made it with Rocky, Wepner asked him for money. Stallone didn't want to pay him. I think eventually he did. I can't remember if Wepner sued him or not. You can look it up online.

So what if they try to make a few bucks off some bits and bobs that were left behind in the house they now rightfully own? They knew the house was being sold, if they wanted it they could've and would have just taken that stuff with them in the first place. What were the new owners supposed to do with it, throw it away? Keep it? Give it to poor Billy Gibbons? If Billy really cared that much he could've just had one of his people go in there incognito and buy it all up for what would amount to nothing to someone who's got millions of dollars, but in reality he probably realizes he has more than enough of his own junk to last him a life time, so who cares if some left behind odds and ends go to a few devout fans who love zztop enough to actually take the time to go out there and pay way too much for what? A couple a bar stools and a walking stick? Jeez

My favorite guitar player tied with Keith Richards. Love Billy, Dusty, and Frank from back in the early 70’s Austin Tx in the 9th grade Crockett HS. I’m 65 and 5’9” 150 pounds and take no meds for anything. Even at Billy’s age I don’t reckon I could keep up with him. He’s gotta be super wombat healthy! Vegetarian last I heard. Me I’m a pescatarian but my soul is more soothed by a really good cheeseburger a few times a year. On another note…..if Jesus was a Texan he’d probably look and sound like Billy. Only better.

Dusty Hill had not even been buried when Billy Gibbons took Elwood out on the road within 48 hrs. after Dusty's passing. Gibbons showed his true colors; what's most important is he 'gottsta get paid' - after 50 fucking years together on stage, that's what Dusty gets as a farewell! The Foo Fighters completely shut down their tour when drummer Taylor Hawkins died. The next tour they're doing is entirely a memorial farewell tour for Taylor. THAT'S a band to be proud of. I will never think of Billy Gibbons the same again and nor do I have any desire to go see The Billy Gibbons Band. RIP ZZ Top
