Why are there wheeley bars on the GTP? Its front wheel drive donuts not gonna catwalk.

Regardless of drive wheels, hard acceleration causes the front of a vehicle to become "lighter" as the energy of launching the car from a standstill overcomes inertia, which in turn reduces traction on the drive wheels for a fwd car like this. On a RWD this force remains, as the car wants to "rotate" on the rear axle. The wheelie bars in this application though are to add leverage to the rear and force the nose to stay planted, thus decreasing the amount the front springs can decompress and keeping the drive wheels firmly planted with the greatest possible traction.

Yea I still have mine, and I had to get 20's to keep it from skipping and jumping, which was and is very hard on the cradle and can make the door close funny. When you add a bunch torque these car want to bend like a V. So any and all support help the baby GenX stay planted. Fun fact: I almost never drive her anymore but when street racing. You shouldn't be in the right lane. You'll need to point ever so at on coming traffic, and when the light turns green 🚦 , you sling shot down the block. No smoke, no tire spin, just roaring and a black blur. I only break the tires loose in the wet so I don't break anything. I have one video if you want.
