I'm considering supercharging or turboing my 09 LT in like a year, I'm just not sure what I would need to replace and where to find those forged replacements. Yes, I am aware that turboing an LT is pretty weird, but thats the fun part about it lol. @ZZPerformanceChannel Жыл бұрын
There are no conversion kits available, but it is possible to do the swap. It is quite involved, and you'll need to find a donor car with the transmission and all applicable parts (including the firewall plate to hold the clutch master/pedal). You'll then have to reprogram the ECM and BCM using a GM Tech II to reprogram them to manual versions. For most folks selling their auto and purchasing a manual is an easier route.

Running a m62 supercharger kit on my 2009 cobalt 2.2 been running it for 2 years on stock pulley and wanting to turn it up a bit it’s tuned on 91 octane with 60# injectors I’m going to be adding water methanol injection with the pulley upgrade just wondering what size pulley you guys would recommend
@chadoliver29664 жыл бұрын
Do a 2.9 pulley
@gbrunner244 жыл бұрын
With meth you're definitely going to have some more room to go down, I'd start with a 2.9 and see where your boost and KR levels are at.

Yep! The only model years without tune support are 2005-2006 models.

Yo question, so I have an 2007 Lt 2.2L cobalt now the engine is 14 years old so if I wanted to put a turbo in it would my engine handle it or should I buy a new one?
@OfficialBreadMan3 жыл бұрын
The engine is fine but I’m not sure if I should buy a new one first
@ZZPerformanceChannel3 жыл бұрын
Just because it's 14 years old doesn't mean that it's in poor shape. I would recommend doing at least a timing chain tensioner if it wasn't done at 100k miles, if not then a full timing kit would be recommended. Past that, run a compression test, if compression is good then we say send it! -Tyler-

I got the zzp 2.5 exhaust. Think 2.5 is to big for the 2.2l. Should just bought a muffler of my choice an had a shop do a custom 2 1/4 exhaust

Curious to know what the max output for the K04 is? Psi and whp? let’s say the car has internals and exhaust can be put to 3” if needed.
@mattneal43094 жыл бұрын
Usually 330whp is maxed. I think anything over 24psi is not efficient. Seen someone push 30psi. Turbo didnt last long
@deebalt0714 жыл бұрын
@@mattneal4309 my goal for “street/track” is 8-12psi on the street and 20-25 at the track. Ultimate goal is 10’s for 1/4mi but can’t afford that just yet 😅.

Yes, you can! You would have to swap the wheel bearings, rotors, pads and calipers from a Cobalt SS/5 lug Cobalt.

Unfortunately the entire auto industry is at a crawl right now due to shipping shortages. We do plan on restocking but we don't currently have an estimate on when that will be.

Nice! We always recommend you (or a mechanic) take a good look through the car and make sure you take care of any major maintenance issues before adding any mods. Beyond that, email us at customerservice@zzperformance.com and we can help you get started.
