Honestly, sure the game can be suggestive and for "gooners" but not only have I seen absolutely worse stuff on just regular TV with full nudity however, the actual story and personalities of the characters is amazing and I can't wait for more with 1.2 tomorrow evening. Characters will finish their attack before leaving the field when you switch, and some attacks can take a while - this is why you can have more than one person on screen. You can have all three, actually.

The pro of this are group wipeouts. The con is that they suffer from fighting game assist syndrome. They can get hit while still out and take a ton of damage. It's not a huge deal most of the time but in places like withering gardens it really sucks.

I'm not sure how it works but purely to make wipeouts cooler, the devs made it so you can't kill in the middle of a lot combos or multihit moves in the game unless there's other sources of damage besides your active character. So you actually lose meaningful amounts of time if you overkill enemies, which can hurt your runs in the timed challenges. The effect is really noticeable on some moves like Ellen's ult/chain where only the kill only happens after she does all the acrobatics and snaps to the ground. And that's why most of Ellen wipeouts will be that same grounded pose.

Yeah enemies will mostly be tagged as killed when you use combo ending attacks, the same ones that will trigger elemental effects and chain attacks.

Its actually the same principle as Kingdom Hearts combo. Only attacks that are attached with "finisher" tag can kill, or trigger anomaly, or trigger chain attacks. Thats why for example you're spinning with jane doe hold-basic, you wont kill the enemy until the end of the move

I love trying to get good wipeouts with multiple characters in it, and I did get a few triples with Rina, Grace, and Jane in one shot but framing one of those to look interesting is really hard. I did however get one at the end of Piper's upswing in her basic attack string. That was a cool af shot where her axe had landed on the ground behind her, the angle was an above shot looking down, and the enemy that had just been defeated was sent into the air for the freeze frame. Honestly an 11/10 screenshot

Lucy enjoyer here🙋🏻‍♂️ try her if you haven’t (this is to anyone reading) if you’re like me with decent luck(or you’re just a whale) you have Jane, Qingyi, and Zhu, and you run into Qingyi being on both of your top tier hyper carry/dps teams. I found that Qingyi wants too much field time to work with Jane as well as she could, and heard talk of Lucy as a swap out. Build Lucy for crit/atk and literally only use her in chain rotations/quick assists. My rotation is just Jane on field 25/8, quick assist Seth into his hold attack, swap back to Jane with shield buff, and just use Lucy as your perfect assist until you’re shield runs out. She makes the team flow really well, and leaves Qingyi open for the times I need two full teams at once (in my case Qingyi, Zhu, Nicole and Jane, Seth, Lucy)

with 4:30, Nicole has a special way of activating her special EX, on KB+Mouse you hold LMB and tap W>D>S>A (ie, the movement keys in a circle). done correctly she'll spin around then sit on her case to charge up the EX. if you do this but let go of LMB before she finishes charging it up she'll trip over landing on her butt, with the EX being lobbed up into the air instead of shot forwards. It's fun to do, and can be useful in certain situations.
