The whole point of being a "hero" is potentially sacraficing your life for the sake of other's safety (at least in my definition). That's why I hate the word "the hero" and prefer using "the brave" instead. Superman ain't a "hero", neither is batman, spiderman or any other so-called superhero. They have nothing to risk and they aren't even at risk most of the times.

Yeah, you know what hits really hard regarding that? It reminds me how her mom said she doesnt want Miyabi to be a hero, but just for her to be a normal everyday person. Baby Miyabi didnt get that, and only when she had to become a hero she realize the burden of being one. She not only sacrifices herself, but also making Miyabi doing the stabbing. :/ If I have to guess, the reason why is probably to do with the demon blade & how her mom refrain her from picking it up until then. Looking at the visual cues, it most likely draws power from not only blood, but also intense, often negative emotions, as per the usual demon blade stories. So in order to protect Miyabi after her own corruption, shes gives miyabi the power to protect herself & everyone; by making her take away the most precious thing from herself by her very own hands.

I did not expect to shed a tear, as quick as I did after feeling so joyous seeing a little Miyabi enjoy her childhood. Those specific lyrics in Bury the Light, were the first things that came to my mind, especially since she's been memed as another one of Vergils' plentiful daughters. And I just have to say, I'm even more hyped for Miyabi.
