What’s the reason to pedal such a bike when you can get an e-bike for the same amount of money?
@UPHILLPHILL4 сағат бұрын
Good question and one I’ve been asked before. Simply put, personally, I don’t need an EMTB yet and I am planning my next bike being one👌. I wanted a bike that fitted all my riding requirements (and there were lots!) that no EMTB could fulfil for the cost. Yes, I could have got an EMTB for the same/similar price but it would have been a compromise and so a waste of time and money for me. This satisfies every single requirement and more and when I have the available funds, an EMTB will be looked into. Thanks for watching and for your comment 👍

Interesting bit on the flat feet in berms( I assume level In relation to the wall of the berm?) I was told by another well known coach to drop the outside foot in a berm. I do that to this day although I’m aware the standard advice is level feet so now it’s more of a weighting rather than fully dropped. It also depends on the angle of the berm. A shallow berm will need more of a dropped outside foot. Good video!
@UPHILLPHILL4 сағат бұрын
Hey, I fully agree as I was told similar advice and as you say, going level or dropping the outside foot is totally dependent on many different factors like entry speed, type/shape/tightness and material types of the berms the list goes on! But for me personally, staying flat with the feet/cranks made a night/day difference in the fast/banked type berms we were practicing with. Thanks for watching and commenting 🤜🤛👍

@UPHILLPHILL21 күн бұрын
Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, the X1 is only capable of a maximum speed of 15mph, so it doesn’t do “fast”. My aim for this video was to capture my first owner experience with this amazing flying camera. I did not purchase it for speed, instead, it fulfilled my requirements for alternative angles and perspectives of the trails rather than just POV. Your request, however, will be satisfied as I have just received the upgraded version so watch this space 😉👍.

Hey, just wondering how much it would cost and how fast can it go ( what is the max speed it can follow ) thanks :)
@UPHILLPHILL26 күн бұрын
Hey there 👋. The cost will largely depend on where you are located, in the UK it’s currently £395 on Amazon. Its max speed is 15mph, which I’ve found covers most situations I want for filming b-roll shots, I’ll be looking into a more advanced device for faster and more cinematic content soon though 😉. I’ve included links in the description that will help. Thanks for watching 👍

They have introduced a new model HoverAir X1 Pro Max which over doubles the speed of the original model. The new X1 Pro Max reaches a speed of 37 mph on a 15 minute battery while shooting video in 8k. This model will run you around $900 USD
@UPHILLPHILL17 күн бұрын

@@UPHILLPHILL Awesome! I will be looking forward to your content as I just purchased the HoverAir X1. I absolutely love it! Will be purchasing the X1 Pro Max in the near future, for now the X1 will do what I need it and perhaps introduce me to content creation. Got it at an amazing price with 3 batteries, so I'm more than happy with it. Although I would enjoy the new features of the new model, I'm more than happy with it.

Hi. I have a question. Did you have to register this Drone with the FFA in order to be able to post videos in You Tube and Monetizen? Did yopu have to take the test? Thanks!!
@UPHILLPHILL28 күн бұрын
Hi 👋. I’m based in the UK but I think the rules are different with regard to the weight of the device being under 250g which requires a basic operating licence but I’d recommend checking it out for your area to be completely safe. This is device also quite different with regard to the fact that it is classed as an autonomous flying camera that has a very close operating range to its user/point of origin, very different to the capabilities of a DJI for example. Thanks for watching and for your comment 👍
@stevenparker437829 күн бұрын
Mate has one of these. I tried it out and thought it was a great piece of kit, and then i tried the DJI Neo! Longer flight times, better in stronger winds and the tracking is superb. The fact that i can use the phone as an audio source without the rotor noise, and my mini 4 pro controller to fly it is the icing on the cake.
@UPHILLPHILL29 күн бұрын
I’d agree that the Neo definitely has advantages over the X1 but the X1 also has the voice capture feature via phone and I use a Bluetooth mic connected to my iPhone so I don’t have to hold it, which works a treat. The Neo kinda sits in the middle of the X1 and the X1 ProMAX (soon to be available). Thanks for watching and commenting, much appreciated 🤜🤛.

Such a lovely, and also FANTASTIC video again, Phil. 🤩 You are producing great content that shares a real mountain biking experiences. This is especially true with you showing the “Push-up” a real consequence of MTB, 😊 sheep on the trails, (you can’t park there) 😉 and that as skilled as you are, you still show some “Whoopsie-Daisey” moments and some occasional “Wibbly-Wobbly” ones. 🙌🏼 I even LOVE you showing the scenery, as that’s also a reality, yes, we love to ride and descend, but taking time to appreciate our surroundings is also just as special and part of the ride. 😊 Such a BRILLIANT 🤩video as it even shows that with great experience and skill as you have, these things can happen. That’s what makes your content so relatable. 🤜🏼🤛🏼 Thank you for another great video, and Happy Trails, Good Sir! 🤙🏼

Oh yeah. This bike does rip. To be honest it’s not flickable as a smaller travel and shorter angle head tube bike would be. I ride in Northern California and it took me a while to get used to the geometry of this bike. It is more aligned to true downhill trails. But, with some practice it is exceptional on tighter trails. As Evil describes it, it is a bike park bike. Having owned a true DH bike, I would say that this is a bike that can handle both enduro and downhill trails. I, in fact use mine as more of a trail and enduro bike
