finland is smaller than CA and is 86% ethnically Finnish. maybe policies that work for countries smaller than one of our states aren’t applicable to 50 unique states full of different cultures and ethnicities.

That’s because they wanna make sure the government gets to tell kids what to believe without dissent. Great way to raise sheeple. They pay 35-50% in taxes and on dividends. The government already teaches the vast majority of kids today and is failing them miserably with the US only a midlevel country scholastically.

Some people think that the idea that you can just suddenly become super rich with no effort is antithetical to the protestant work ethic we so value in our society. But the lottery in fact represents the true spirit of capitalism. The true American dream. Which isn't "working hard and doing well", but "not working hard, and still doing well anyway".

Im from a small european country and i was rly shocked how diferent education is viewed at in the USA Here private schools are viewed negatively, its usually never someone's first choice, the education is less exigent, its more expensive, anyone can get in as long as they have enough money, and is poorly viewed at by employers bcause they boost the students grades to look better😅

Honestly IF the public school systems were apolitical, teaching students critical thinking skills and not what to think, teaching math, real science as in the method and the results there of…then yes send them to public schools. But No lets send them to our public schools that can brainwash/groom them to fit the mold of the politically correct or socially popular fad while doing their best to not tell the parents. No really let us send them to our public schools which in some states allows for the kidnapping of transportation of minors across state lines for medical procedures. Yes let us send them to the public schools which are largled supported by unions that care not for students but their political donors and philosophy. Certainly lets send them to the public school systems that pushes boys who pretend to be girls into girls sports then punish the girls and the parents who protest it.

Wealthy Americans will just move to districts with the best public schools (they already do). Poor citizens will then be priced out of their homes. The biggest problem is that Americans focus too much on sports and are often proud to be anti-intellectual

Lmao. Imagine advocating MORE government involvement in your kids development. You want to fix schooling then allow school choice and force shitty school districts to do better. Take away tenure. Get rid of teachers unions that only enrich themselves. You know that the highest paid government employee in many states is the president of a teachers union? Oh but let me hear about how evil a private school is.
