The woman on the train, it looked like it was her fault, can't blame the guy for going through her if she was a bitch. Woman on the bus, she dealt with a scumbag very well, he was weird.

You can't really tell a fighter from a none fighter, because I've seen it over and over again for almost 30yrs where many people who doesn't look like fighters training in my gym beat the shyt out of guys. The west only go be appearances so much. This video is a bit misleading folks.

Not sure if this is more of a British thing to get sucker punched in the back of the head? I do think I remember a brief time where Americans had the knock out game but I thought that fizzled out. It is not a smart move in America to sucker punch random people in the back of the head because you will eventually hit someone that has a concealed firearm and an itchy trigger finger. Not that it’s a good idea anywhere but it’s called f*ck around and find out in America. In any case, situational awareness is the name of the game. I am a fairly big dude at 6’2” and 240 lbs but I don’t usually try to play games with dumbasses trying to start a fight. Not trying to do a stare down or dick measuring contest. If your so brain dead as to engage random strangers in these games for no reason, your beneath the lowest quartile of intelligence and not worth getting into a fight over or ending up in jail once the well deserved ass kicking of a lifetime has been dealt. I may glance at them to see what kind of stance their in, if they are armed, if it looks like their going to charge at me but ultimately, I’m going to take the risk of walking away while sort of keeping my eye on them. I have not been sucker punched in the back of the head doing this so far. It’s unfortunate that there are people like that and I think I have the privilege of being an American and a big man. Not so easy to walk your way out of a situation when you are of a victimized class: smaller people, handicap, women, elderly. I’d be more interested to see how people of those groups avoid conflict. Maybe one could argue that this Stare down scenario is mostly one healthy younger men engage in to start. But less is at stake with young men who can probably handle themselves to some degree. Much scarier for a woman or elderly person if they face that scenario. I like the idea of legally concealed firearms for worse case scenario and lesser forms of defense for slightly less worse case such as mace or tasers. Firearms cannot usually be an actual deterrent if someone thinks you don’t have one since flashing a firearm is brandishing and is a crime in most if not all states. You could open carry but that is very very rare and opens you up to being a target where you otherwise might not be. That means your lesser forms of defense are something like mace or tasers and the stats aren’t great on either. I think I remember reading that a large percentage of scenarios where mace is deployed result in the user being hit with it. Might even be the same with tasers where a large percent are turned back on the person defending themselves or fail to affect the attacker. This leaves the victim class (no offense intended) limited options outside of some clever way of defusing or exiting this kind of situation. It used to be that if your a woman, elderly, or handicap person getting picked on or assaulted, random passerby’s would step into the fight on your behalf but these days, it’s about 80% chance they will get their phone out to record you getting your ass whooped instead. Can’t rely on random people unfortunately.

On a 4 lane road Saturday afternoon near St. Louis MO, a man pulled up behind me at a red light, honking at me to move forward. I was minding my own business and he was exhibiting road rage. I stayed put because he could have easily used the other lane. That was definitely the wrong thing to do. I kept driving as usual but should have taken the danger more seriously to look for a safer place. He followed me onto the next interchange with two lanes going one direction, no exits and nobody but us. He repeatedly passed me, swerved and slowed down in front of me. There was no way to escape so I maintained the speed limit. At the next interchange with me in the right left turn lane. He pulled up even with me in the left left turn lane and motioned me to lower my window. I wanted to go forward through the red light to get away but hesitated since there was a red light camera. I watched him out of my left peripheral eyesight and moved my right arm. Fortunately, he drove away as fast as he could with two quick left turns. Now I understand St. Louis City streets are right up there with Brazil, Mexico, and Venezuela and it's best to get away from these situations.

i do not know why people try to stare you down. I dont think of it as a way to instill fear in me. I take it as a potential for trouble to occur and I worry more about the law than I do looking for a fight to win. Especially since I carry. Ive also noticed that when I do carry, i seem to not get engaged by anyone for whatever reason. I guess they seem to get a gut feeling "dont mess with this one, it wont be worth it" and they walk away. I think alot of people can pick up on you if you give off a vibe that screams "a bad day" for them. Everyone talk shit and say "it is easy to be tough when you got a gun" but the problem is I live in america and so does everybody else. Why should I try to make it fair to my enemy for the conflict? chances are they might not be fair about the fight either so why even bother throwing hands? Id rather take your life and be done with it than risk death or hospital bills that will have a likelyhood being covered by the aggressor and then I lose twice. Id rather win alot more than lose. My life is hard enough as it is. I dont want dental work redone or facial reconstruction surgery or risk my well-being put into the hands of someone else without my permission.

Best thing I can advise with almost 40 years of hand to ass combat is when you are locked into a staring contest with an individual that would want to hurt you. The most proven technique is to turn around and maintain eye contact always pop lock and drop it.
