This is some of the best D&B I've heard in a very long time, very good job! How come your music is split between two different profiles on spotify?
@arcologies16 сағат бұрын
hey there, thanks so much for checking out the music :) there were two different profiles on spotify due to a label thing... i looked into combining them, but unfortunately it's way too much of a a headache on spotify's end :(

hi there, i sadly don't have any information about it. i found it on one of my firewire hard drives from the early/mid-2000s... so it was probably from an old image website or something. it's absolutely NOT AI-generated.

I have mine setup pretty much working perfectly except for the one thing I'm having trouble figuring out how to do. I can't seem to get the 16 channels to route correctly. At the moment I've got it working with using Abletons external instrument plugin routing to one instance of Osirus but the channels all send their audio to that one midi channel that has the Osirus on which is not workable as they are all bound to that channels volume and pan then. If I'm not mistaken it seems that the problem is that inside the Osirus plugin you can't choose the separate outs for each channel. Well at least I have it working perfectly in single mode. Absolutely amazing synth with the VirusTI Virus TI Snow Vavra and this one I'm blown away by the excellent quality of the sounds they produce.

you can output to 3 separate stereo busses, just like the virus hardware. within those busses, you can have it output to L, R, or L+R... so technically you can get 6 mono outputs. but yah, unfortunately can't get 16... maybe in a future update! :)

Hey man, just found your stuff and quite enjoy it. The music and the informative vids on the SP-16! I was wondering if maybe you could go into depth about the sound of the Overdrive, filter and master FX bus. I have a DJS-1000 and quite like it, but I’m genuinely considering getting an SP-16 for the arrangement mode and additional FX options 🤔

Hey, I finally found your new stuff! Bought tracker: midiout a while ago over on BC and loved it. Thought your Bandcamp was dead and never looked further into it. Enjoyed it for what it is. Now I've found this channel! Happy to be here and thanks for the great Music.
@mephisto2125 күн бұрын
Dude I remember the first time I saw impulse tracker in the late 90's, I was like how do I get this! And I begged my friend for weeks to get him to give me a disk or tell me where he got it and I could never get a straight answer from him. Eventually I think I got a disk but couldn't figure out how to use it on my machine at home. So much frustration with software back in the day (also so much impatience). Props for sticking with it and figuring it all out.

Oh, can you please make a tutorial on how you made these breaks? This is so awesome, this chill beat is perfect. I am just curious which parts of breaks you sampled, what you reinforced the kick with and such. I know about the basic DnB syncopated pattern, I am more curious about how you got the drums to sound like this.
@arcologies8 күн бұрын
hi there! so, for this break... it was just a hip hop break sampled into my yamaha a4000, i applied some eq/filter in the yamaha, and then bounced it back out into renoise and resampled it. the main way i process deeper breaks is just some broad EQ. Cutting the mids a little bit and then boosting the lows. the yamaha makes it sound nice and lush. however, the most important thing is just starting with a break that'll work well in these deep tracks, and you really can't go wrong with some 90s hip hop/rnb breaks :) those producers were using all that warm analog gear and were masters with those phat deep drums. Those breaks were so good back then that you typically do not need to layer them.
@MRabbitFrog8 күн бұрын
@@arcologies Oh...! I see now. I mean, I was more curious how you got the drum pattern, because there all these ghost sounds or something that makes it sound really good. But you told me it's a hip hop break and I slowed the video down to x0.5 and I can totally hear it now. I completely forgot this was another technique for DnB back then. this was the spacey sound I first heard in Logical Progression. Awesome. I still have a lot to learn though... Thanks for the tip.
