Currently I am 33 years old I remember when I was about 5 years old I was going through my grandparents stuff and at the time I don't even think DVDs existed but as soon as you walked into my grandparents house and the entryway there was a huge shell that had at least 500 VHS tapes on it they were huge movie Buffs and we're hoarders but they hoarded actual cool stuff we found this huge device me and my cousins that looks like some type of VHS player and it had things that looked like records that would be played out of a record player but one of them had the words Halloween 2 On It Season of the Witch and that is the way I experienced that movie on a LaserDisc player it was absolutely awesome but the discs did not look shiny like a large CD as shown here they looked like a record black and vinyl from what I recall it could just be 25 years of time clouding my memory maybe they were more like a huge black CD

Not movies but I have purchased Cuphead 3 times now. First I bought it for Xbox since they said it would be exclusive to it, then they released it for Switch and I played the Switch more than Xbox so I bought it, then they finally released it on PS4 and that's my main console of choice so I bought it a third time and sadly I will be buying it one more time for the physical PS4 because I hate digital and only get digital if it's the only way or if the physical will cost way more than it's worth

There are a lot of fakers in the reaction sphere and they are pretty easy to weed out for me anyway. These people have seen the movie and pretend they haven't by being over the top that is really annoying to me. I'm glad you are being honest about it cause the amount of fakes and liars on YT is quite annoying. I've only accidentally double dipped, buying a movie I forgot I already owned. These days I'll only buy an upgrade, and thus double dip, if the disc no longer works, such as the dreaded DVD "rot" from movies I bought 20 years ago. I watched Pirates of the Caribbean on my original purchase DVD the other night, and was happy with the quality etc, so no need to upgrade. The only special editions I ever purchased were the original expanded release LoTR DVDs, that came with figurines. Those figurines are still proudly on display in my lounge room, over 20 years later :)

How long did a video take you? I thought of doing a reaction channel, but I have seen most good movies, and I don't want to "put on a show" like reactors do for their audience, none of them watch movies the same way as they do in a reaction video. @@BrandoCritic Especially when the audience is unappreciative and sometimes hostile. Every one of your reasons is why I didn't start a reaction channel. This movie has so many B.S moments, it was unbelievable. Deniro and Pacino are doing their same ol same ol. We've seen them do the same characters so many times it's truly tiresome. Nothing special nothing different. They wasted Ashley Judd and Wes Studi 2 actors that are REAL ACTORS that bring a unique interpretation of each character not the Same ol tired out crap of De Niro and Pacino. The preposterous story, cops and robbers running thru crowds of people shooting at each other. Looked like they shot more bystanders than each other.. the bad guys shot up cop cops riddled them with bullets and didn't get shot themselves or barely. So much nonsense in this film the director just wants cheap expected thrills doesn't seem to care about telling a great story more about guns and treachery. A waste of time except for people that watch the same garbage over and over.

@@BrandoCritic I've seen some where they subconsciously reveal plot lines that would be nigh on impossible to predict so early in a film. I've seen one where the reactor commits a Freudian slip by revealing a character's name that hadn't even been introduced so far in the movie! I'm not going to name any channels, some of them have 100k+ subs, but it's blatantly obvious that they've seen or studied the plot line beforehand. There is an implicit contract between reactors and their audience. The reactor pretends to have not seen or heard anything ever and the audience pretends to believe them. Perhaps, the labeling of “first time reaction” relies on semantics. It may be the “first time reacting” to a piece of content. Personally, I don’t care if a reactor has seen or heard something before. Just don’t spend 10 minutes droning on about how they have seen something but they really haven’t seen something but they have seen it but they have poor memory but they have seen it, but they weren’t paying attention, but they have seen something but the Men In Black zapped their memory. It’s dreadful and dishonest. I wish reactors would just not say if they have seen something before and just admit they want to get Back To The Future, Shawshank, Forrest Gump onto the channel because they like it, those titles get good viewership or viewers keep asking for them. But, please have a moratorium on the I’ve seen something but I really haven’t seen something speeches. Just get on with it.

I started doing reaction videos in 2020 during the pandemic, just as something to do. I had a similar problem in which I already had expertise in the area (music) and a lot of stuff people asked me to react to was stuff I already knew. I would do them as "reviews" to appease the requests while fully acknowledging I've heard it before and treating it as a discussion. I got criticized for pausing the song to comment, which I acknowledge is for both copyright and to actually provide something usual in discussing the art, but I got soooooo many comments of "Let the song play!" If you want to watch somebody listen to a song in silence, turn on the song yourself and look in a mirror. I still do "reaction" content as a way of cataloging the entire Thin Lizzy discography, as I feel that's a worthwhile endeavor to archive online for a diehard fan, but in general, I find creating that kind of stuff very unfulfilling. I've found doing long-form essays are much more satisfying, as well as live-stream chats with other content creators. The comments section is ridiculous. I feel you very much on that. A lesson I learned during my music making days is one I very much take to heart. "You are smarter than your audience."
