Just to point this out: Itachi was 13 or 14 when he killed his clan… he was a literal child forced to take on the burden of an adult, and his clan. Manipulated by adults he thought were going to help him. He became a scapegoat for not only the Leaf but for the clan whom he had been born into.

For those lost: Madara manipulated a highly skilled hidden mist sealing team with his powerful genjutsu to seal Isobu in Rin so she would go back to the 🍃 village where more manipulated Mist shinobi were hiding could break the seal on Rin allowing Isobu(3 tails) to break out and destroy the leaf.. Rin escaped her capture in the mist based on Madaras doing and was pursued along with Kakashi while Obito was orchestrated by Madara to go help his comrades.. Rin, knowing she had the Bijuu inside of her plunged herself at kakashi while he had a chidori activated killing her through the heart with one shot.. she gave up her life so her village could survive.. a true warrior.. But also Madara was able to brainwash Obito into becoming a mad man.. 😅😅 I swear Naruto has such deep and thoughtful character development 😋🥷

"I'll let you win this battle".... knowing that he was literally trying to lose this fight in the exact manner he did shows a neat touch on word choice. He wasn't just saying he lost, he was heavily focused on staying awake and executing his plan that his word choice morphed into him almost admitting he let Kakashi win.
