While i wont check this i wish the variables for doing a genocide and "done the genocide before" are named "has a soul" and "had a soul" when you start both are set to 1, when you do genocide it becomes "had a soul:0" it could be returned to 1 by just sparing a single life, but if you finshed now you have "has a soul:0" because you sold it to chara and its not reversible(unless you somehow make chara return your souls but that's not something you can do)

I think an extra unsettling factor of Adam being able to control and mess with a player's gameplay that makes this so worrisome is the type of game Welcome to the Game is. Like it's a game about hacking and browsing sketchy and dangerous websites, so for the developer (who even inserts himself into his own game) having the ability to mess with the players on their free will is absolutley scary, and just makes me want to stay far- far away as possible from the company and games.

As much as I don’t want to make light of this given its hazy legality, a movie about a dude communicating with people or just straight up infecting people’s computers under the guise of a normal video game would be pretty cool

Perhaps it's just me and I'm too old, but Undertale was only okayish for me. I found the jokes to stop being funny after the tenth time and the ethics/morals presented there were rather thick in my face. The meta storytelling was particularly annoying, and all in all the game failed to keep my immersion. What I want to praise is the absolutely insane and creative way of game mechanics where characters mess with the interface itself, very very well done! But still, I just quit after one playthrough, I just don't care. The most annoying part was (part of) the community that repeatedly said to me "you see, that's the developers intent, for you to quit to stop hurting his characters" - apart from constantly trying to bring me to play the game in this or that particular way, and that I would understand the game if I gave it another chance. There is another layer to this meta storytelling that most seem to ignore: It's the fact that the developer intentionally wrote all the code so the game has no life of its own, all characters are still fictional and therefore no parasocial relationship is needed anywhere! Also, beware of developers' own moral injection in games, as I've said the morals were a bit thick.

Personally I feel like the recording of her parents might have also been for sadistic gradification. Considering that he incorporated references to the murder in his livestream and even mentioned that he's a sadist, it might be that this was another layer of that sadism. Being able to listen to her grieving family might have been very satisfying for him. I've heard that quite some killers also get sexual release from this so he might also have played with himself to the audio. But that's just my theory.

Honestly your analog horror is so good

It’s sad how this version of the NCR are straight up evil unlike the canon version which truly want to help. It also shows how the Mr House and Independent New Vegas endings are in reality two of the worst endings for New Vegas. For those who are curious I rank the endings in how good they are for the Mojave going from NCR to Mr House to Independent and last Caesar.

You may have not pressed the fight button,but you still killed Flowey afterwards. Kinda like how there's no turning back on a decision that's already been decided a long time ago. Your body is killing without your consent to move it,you're now reduced to a thought. Saw the thumbnail and panicked over why and how did Tomska kill someone

the game felt dull for a bit when i did genocide after finishing true pacifist, but once i hit undyne,....my raw emotions surfaced as i died repeatedy. i mean atleast 40 times. instead of making me reset she drove me forward. gave me a fighting spirit to the point i felt "determined'" to beat her. to kill her like the rest, to move forward and see how her death impacted the game. reference asside.....she filled me....with determination. the raw enjoyment.....then i hit sans.....and i was blasted (litteraly) away. the music. the death count. the difficult. the lore....and it happend again. this time i died nearly 100 times if not more. i lost count at 60. this game is great. the creativity people have for making there own versions of this wonderful story is something to admire....but the community ruined interacting for me...but the games toby fox took apart of are stunning.
