I have never been sold on a series as quickly as the first snippet you showed of Angel Hare sold me on it. I'm binging that ASAP.

I was there when Monument Mythos was still releasing and I cannot express how exciting it all was to us having this grand, absurd world to speculate about and continually being drop fed new elements of it or ways they interconnect. It was awesome. Especially because this series does not pull punches. They ended the whole world at the end of season two. There are not a lot of large scale stories that have the kahoonas to destroy their entire setting for good. I mean the Monument Mythos didn't either until it did; there was a deleted fourth season that was kinda terrible where the world being destroyed was undone and apparently there was a fifth season after that that was also deleted but I lost interest when season 4 was coming out because again it was kinda terrible.

one of my favourite parts of the mandela catalogue was adam and jonah's stuff in Vol 2. the final conversation where they're arguing with jonah warning adam about going further, bringing up his past and saying about hating these "death marches", all with the meowing 'cat' in the background...all ending with Adam shouting for jonah to leave... it's so good. and then jonah being haunted for leaving him behind is just the cherry on the top for me

A bit of a late comment, but if you still are making more ranking videos, I would highly recommend Oakburn and the VHS videos that serve as a prequel to the series by REDDIAMOND. It's an Ongoing, though nearly complete, series that involves a Detective trying to fully understand the disappearance of the town's population within one night. The series is a mixture of Cosmic Horror and Demonic horror in a manner that almost feels like something you can see be in the SCP foundation with how strange and anomalous the events surrounding Oakburn and the neighboring areas are. The story is incredibly unsettling and the atmosphere is incredible in how well it portrays the unnatural feel of the series. Give that a watch. I was first exposed to the series by Nexpo and was almost immediately enthralled by it.

I have a little rule that seems to be tangentially related to this discussion. If a writer goes back to supplement their media from what i guess we need to refer to as twitter drops, those should then be explicitly ignored. (Most prominent examples being anything jk posted up to "expand the lore of the harry potter universe" and i think it was kevin figie making a tweet about how "the thanos snap killed half of all life, not just human life") theyre usually poorly thought out additions that dont add much, dont change much, and/or make characters look like absolute morons.

I used to watch parody channels back when i was a teenager, bart baker and chad wildclay were my favorites, bart fell in to the crypto coin scam and chad started making weird and cringe videos which i thought were real at the time but turned out to be fake, i feel like my heart’s been broken in half and it hurts, i hate crypto scams and cringe videos and i wish people wouldn’t fall for this stuff, i wish it didn’t exist on social media

It's a great quality lore video. Dust looks like a great mod. Im just gjad its not canon. I loved Zion from the vanilla dlc. I love Joshua as the staunch, stoic warrior that rose out of the ashes to rejoin his people and fight for the right causes, to fight and survive for the tribals , for his last New Canaanite brother and for his own redemption. Seeing the natural oasis that was Zion destroyed, seeing Joshua destroyed was just too much. It's ok as in a " What if" Fallout scenario. I'm just glad its not canon.

surprised that jerry wasnt mentioned if you want a concrete demonstration of the intentional monotony of the genocide route, jerry was made exclusively for that purpose of course you can spare him and still get the genocide ending but given the community didnt know that for a while, it still seems relevant imo

My favorite thing about this video is that you understood the assignment. Far too many people use the idea of "Chara"(literally just a name space in the coding files) as a cop out--pretending they are some bad guy they are roleplaying as when that is not the case. YOU the player are inhabiting Frisk's body and influencing him. YOU are the one controlling Frisk. YOU are the one who kills everyone in the underground. YOU are the evil one. Deltarune seems to be leaning harder into this as the difference between you and Kris is made far more apparent.

Bruh anybody who has watched mark knows that mark hates rage games and loses his shit to them. If you want mark to review your rage game, then you better be prepared for him to lose his shit. Pogo stuck, get over it, Mario, I am bread.. Like.. It is WELL known at this point. It's also well known that he's a genuinely nice guy and he does try to offer completely valid criticism when he can. But ultimately he's an entertainment channel. He's not here to tell people to play a game or make tutorials or anything. He's here to entertain. This is part of it. He doesn't owe you anything.

People dont think of the monster spawning thematically enough... Frisk is literally hunting down every last one... of course they are... harder to find...maybe they found a bettwr hiding place or maybe Frisk was just distracted kill someone else...but even if it does take time...she finds them all... Forcing the player to spend longer looking for encounters is narratively placing the player...as an evil thing hunting down every last monster...and Frisk somehow always knows if theres any left...

I have a question for you, do the devs have the right to clap back when players are being mad disrespectful? Or should they always take the high road?
@ArchonLoaf5 күн бұрын
This actually reminds me of a few achievement hunters I met in a MMO I play. At first they were super excited for this challenge, and there was a lot of fun rewards at the get go. They were very kind, cheerful, and helpful players. However in time, they started to change. There is a lot of grindy achievements in this game with zero rewards at the end. I believe the reason is that the developers didn't want the players to feel tied down to a game, but they were there if players were more or less.. bored. Some of the hunters were becoming more quiet, and easily agitated. They stopped going to group events because their achievement hunting was so time consuming that hanging out was considered a waste of time. They were beginning to become snappy towards players who were casual, or not so good at the game. Some of them logged into the game with zero friends on for months because it got to the point where the grind consumed their life. I believe the right term of why they kept going after losing all joy in the game was "sunk cost". They were bored, but they had to do it. Your video reminded me a lot about them, because its the same type of behavior. But... the 3 I knew, two actually started hitting the brakes with their goal. They said they were feeling empty playing the game, they did not like how they couldn't feel joy, and that they were alone all of the time in a MMO. They felt no one would care for their achievements aside from themselves, and they neglected their real lives plenty of times to serve the game. They felt bad for being cold and avoidant, and they felt possessed to reach their goal. I remember one had a final list of achievement they truly wanted to accomplish, and started to write stories on their character for a different outlet to break out of it. The other one only raids with friends during meet ups and has been on a break more or less. However... the 3rd one that I did not mention is still a mystery. I believe they were top 10 on their server regarding their achievement rank. This means they would had been busting their butt off for 4-6 years on the game. They would had valued their character after all that work, right? Well... they disappeared. Character deleted, all social media deleted, no mention of leaving; just erased from the face of the earth. No one knows what happened to them even though they spent so much time in a game and with a community. All I can say about the 3rd person was that they were in the same boat as the other two on how they were feeling, but they kept going instead of stopping; and then suddenly just vanished about 2 years later after the other ones chose to stop. I don't think these people are evil, but it has parallels on how people act when something consumes them and brings them no happiness. I do know any good person can become evil, and its terrifying to see one of the sweetest turn into the scariest monster. I really enjoyed the video, and I felt compelled to share this story. (Sorry it got a bit long.)

I think its fine until it crosses into malice. In this case, Adam took a super jump over that line. The answer to the consent question(in this topic only) is completely subjective in my view. Being informed that your game may be fucked with could actively degrade the experience just as much as not being informed can, since you could just write off shenanigans as "its the devs".
