THANK you! I didn’t know this was a thing until it was too late. Car’s in the shop because water got everywhere! Down the a frame and into the fuse box. Eyesight went down and my brake was stuck on. All because of the leak!

Good video. If you do not do this, it will drip and pool under passenger seat (road slope when parked in street is down hill toward passenger side) and could cause issues with computer control box under there. First time this happened I could did not notice untill there was a lake under the seats. Stereo made wire wup wwup noise until it dried out. My 2012 sunroof gets stuck in open position, so I do not use it. Dirt still builds up, parked under oak tree in Sacramento, and we get endless agriculture dust here. Currently have a tarp over sunroof, I forgot to do this before the bomb cyclone! It will also drip from center overhead because it splashes around when driving.....

You made a big mistake by not putting e brake into service mode before working on braes, failure to do this can damage caliper. If your doing your own work don't aways trust a these clips.

@@bruceyyyyy Gotta say this video was awesome, wish I had a buddy that could work on cars with me! I have a leak on the front diff of my 09 Imrpeza. I have oil seeping around the bottom of the diff where it meshes with the transmission near the transmission pan. They have a little 10mm bolt with o-ring on these diffs but I have replaced the bolt and still see seepage...I am wondering if its the RTV gasket that has failed, is this common? Looking at the transmission taken apart in the video its one "unit" so I would have get everything out like you did, and then further separate the "housing" from the diff? I found your video from SubaruOutback forums, made a thread on there "09 Impreza - leak from front diff RTV gasket?" with some pictures. Appreciate it and love the vids and the fact you're still running the car!

I watched several of these videos and had no luck with my 2021 Outback push-button start. Finally, THIS is what worked: 1. Have car off. 2. Turn on "super accessory" mode by pushing start button twice without foot on brake. Everything on the dash will turn on. 3. Quickly, engage and disengage the seatbelt 24 (twenty-FOUR!) times, ending with the seatbelt off. I did not do the quick in-and-out holding the seatbelt latch in, but actually went through the locking step each insertion. 4. Quickly turn the car totally off by pressing the start button. 5. Turn the car on as per usual without wearing the seatbelt. The alarm will sound a few times, but the seat-belt light will not come on, and you can now drive without a seatbelt/alarm driving you nuts. I think it was the few extra "clicks" that did the trick. I am a dedicated seat-belt wearer while road driving, but I plan on using this when I launch my boat and jump in and out of the car many times to do so.

(2018 Outback 3.6R) This saved me a ton of time. I got the old wiper off in seconds and spent 30 minutes trying to install the new one. It just would not go on. Then I found your video and the tip to install the bracket to the arm *first*, then attach the blade to it, made all the difference. I was just about to return the whole thing to the store!

What pressure did you deflate your tires to in the Roo? I just bought a 2017 2.5 as an everyday driver, but I'm going to start setting it up for trial riding. I also own a 2018 Outback 3.6 (that's my Lil Millenium Falcon, you know it made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs).
