QUICK, CHEAP, and EASY! Clean your Sunroof Drain! 2015-2019 Subaru Outback

I used that little drain weasel tool.
It's actually meant for cleaning drains in sinks, home plumbing, etc.
My backup plan was to use weed eater string.

This video helped me to clear up the extreme leaking through my sun roof. I just took a coat hanger and found the holes on both corners where the sun roof meets the roof frame and cleared the gunk out of the holes. Thanks so much!!!

I was going to use a weed eater string if what I showed didn't work. A coat hanger sounds perfect too!

Just so you know that is rubber tubing and a coat hanger could really damage it

Thank you for this video! Had this problem with my 2019 Outback. The passenger side drain was clogged. I even had that very same snake tool in the garage. The clogged drain was cleared within a few minutes, and also checked the driver's side drain, which was working fine. 👍

Awesome video thanks fixed the leak straight away... by the way i had this issue earlier and water travelled down the A pillar to the passenger foot well and shorted out the release for the electric hand brake.. hand brake would not come off had to that the car trailered to the shop for repair.. shop replaced both hand brake motors $$$$$ only for it to happen again the next time it rained.... all because a blocked drain.... man... Subaru what were you thinking....

Awesomo 2000! Great tip! Mine has 132,000 and still drains okay here in dusty So. 3:15 California. Should check em’ though. Hey Bruceyyyyyyyy, I was recently using my rear 12v power port to pump up a pool floaty with air compressor and lost power. Checked fuses and all seem okay. Even replaced with spares just in case. Under dash and center console 12v both working fine but rear cargo port is dead. Any idea? Thanks in advance.

Took it apart and sure enough, it was melted so plastic in the way of making contact. Cleaned it up, put it back together and good as new. Thanks!
