The 3.6 V6 is far superior to the 4-cylinder. The PVC valve has a design fault; the holes are too small, causing the engine to burn tons of oil... LTZ model with the 3.6 is your best choice

Imagine the car without the horse collar radiator grille, but with the horizontal grille. It would look fabulous.

Cows that have never been around barbed wire... wow, just so silly precious! Especially given that I grew up around a ranch raising livestock. Spoiled leather. You don't want a Wife like that. Trophy Wives are great but not so practical.

Wow, 11 years ago and still going strong. This is my next dream car and it will happen. Great with Richard giving his Owner input. Wonderful dialogue and verbal exchange. I'm going back for a second viewing. Rock on The Open Road!

I'm sure the Edsel handled real well. . Ford has always had the best chassis

No matter how ugly, crummy, or unpopular a car model is, somebody somewhere will take a liking to it, call it a "classic," and say it was "ahead of its time."
@GregBurns-j4v6 ай бұрын
As big as you think this Edsel is, the Ranger and Pacer models are the smaller versions based on the 118" Ford Fairlane chassis. The larger 124" wheelbase Corsair and Citation were based on the Mercury Turnpike Cruise chassis. Contrary to your fears, the Edsel is a magnificent interstate traveler. Please check out the promotional Ford film premiering the car. They have 4 doing dangerous stunts, plus a lady driving a Corsair while pulling 4 huge cement mixers loaded with 200,000 pounds of concrete! Amazing! 🚗😲👍

We bought our 2013 Mazda 6 with i-Eloop new in 2013, and we never got anywhere near 40 mpg (which was why I chose it over one without it). Anyway, now that we've reached 90K on it, the i-Eloop light keeps coming on; I say it that way because we've had it shut off a couple times with hopes it was just the light. However, since it kept doing it, we decided we should the funds to find out what's going on, and we're now being told that it will cost between $2500 and $3000 to fix it (saying that it's either a module or capacitor or both, supposedly not just the battery or alternator). Since our daughter now owns this car and hardly gets to work lately with her corporation cut-backs, my question is this (with hopes you can and will answer it): It's been like this for probably some thousands of miles without out noticing any issues at all with the car, BUT does it hurt anything to not get this fixed since it costs so much? :(

A nice vid! A couple of weeks ago I spotted a 1959 Edsel 4D Ranger here in Finland, Scandinavia. The light blue beauty was in mint condition. There's a small group of Edsel drivers here. They're treasured by the owners.

I wonder whether the Edsel would have sold better had it been badged with a sportier name? Sometimes the name is all it takes for a product not to sell.

Wouldn't take it on the freeway??? Why not? That car will have zero issues running around at 75 mph all day long and still lots of power to pass. Moron. Go review a blender.

3:43 - My thoughts and feelings exactly. I have ALWAYS ever since a little kid have had more respect and love for seeing classic cars on the road, especially American classics over ANY modern time sports car like a Porsche. I just shrug when a Porsche is on a road because I just don't care for there cars but if I see an old Ford, Cadillac, Buick, Dodge, Chevrolet and more, I always give it my attention and many times give a wave or a thumbs up with a smile to its driver/owner.
