Seems like you have to move very slow to scan. Does this have an issue with losing tracking or is it just slow to acquire data?

When ideal conditions are met, it can scan quickly. However, if there is a lot of sunlight and the colors of the object being scanned are not very suitable, it scans slowly. For example, I had difficulty scanning a motorcycle.

I'm new to 3D printing and I just got this one. I would just like to know what is the difference between all those acronisms such as, PETG, ABS, ASA?
@3DPrintLab1
@3DPrintLab1 10 күн бұрын
Hello, PETG is a thermoplastic that has been strengthened by adding glycol to PET, which is generally used in food packaging. It can be used in every printer, including open cases. ABS and ASA are industrial plastic types with high impact resistance and temperature resistance. Although they are very similar, ASA is much more suitable for outdoor conditions than ABS. Both materials are more suitable for closed-case printers because they are quickly affected by air flow and can lift off the printing surface.

Thank you for your review. As myself a newbie here on KZbin as well as in 3D Printing world I started with Ender-3 S Pro but I couldn’t get it going without having problems every other projects I tried. After back and forth I managed to get it swapped for CR-10 SE. But while printing the the nozzle and within the whole system clogged up. So, I returned it and just ordered the K1C, hoping this is the ONE… Being disabled I get bored doing nothing especially during Winter season when I cannot get things done in my Shed/Man-Cave. KZbin channel gave me something to focus on and a 3D Printer that works will be a great for those days and many other projects. Don’t forget to check out my contents if you find a little time! As you are kind of in a same position as I’m on KZbin, I’m sure you know how important is to keep pushing forward (which I find hard at times) to reach next level. Very good review - especially at 13:53 was very interesting. But 15:20 shows that something is wrong with the printer or settings. I own a Prusa MK3S+ (200 mm/s), and have to say, I get maximum 0.02 mm tolerance max since years (I am a product designer). Sliced parts or 2 parts like this in the mid - never happened. Is this normal that when you make 2 parts that they don't fit together? Because I overthink to buy a X1 Carbon. Thanks for your answer. Interesting at 20:15, that the time differences between 250mm/s and 500mm/s are only 39 min., or between 150mm/s and 500 mm/s is only 1:55h... I know that it depends on the model and so on, but interesting to see, that some models can't print faster, even if it is theoretical possible. At 22:11 i have to say, my Printer you cant hear even at 200mm/s. I made dampers, it has no enclose, but I work 50 cm beside and can't hear it working.
@3DPrintLab1
@3DPrintLab1 Ай бұрын
Thank you very much🙏 I didn't pay attention to the junction point in the ABS print. I think it has something to do with my settings. I think it can be fixed. The reason for the time difference between speeds is that the printer cannot reach a speed of 500mm/sec at every point. For example, in the test I did for 500mm/sec, the printer may have reached an average speed of 300-350mm/sec; it is not possible to measure this exactly. We can only clearly see the effects of speed on duration with a single-wall print in surface mode. The X1 Carbon is not a quiet printer, especially with all the fans on. I don't think you can work 50cm away from the printer for very long :) It is currently working 10 meters away and I can hear its voice very clearly :)

@@tamgaming9861 You are welcome. Of course, it may be possible to solve this problem. There are premium class fans like Noctua in the market. Noctua fans are very quiet. However, it will not be possible to purchase and use these fans directly because the fan types and sizes are not suitable for the printer. Maybe it can be done with a few modifications. But I'm not sure about that either, because the X1 Carbon is a printer that notices even if you change the build plate and does not start printing, saying you used the wrong build plate :) So I'm very confused about this. It seems like it would be a difficult change.

Also, its camera is much better than the M5 Pro. I liked the nozzle system of the M5 Pro. Changes are made very easily. In addition, the M5 Pro maintains the temperature inside the case better.
