I liked the Cylon Centurion and Cylon Commander figures from the Trendmasters line. I agree that Starbuck and the Imperious Leader figures were awful.

Recently, I purchased a Revell original Viper model kit and I'm not sure whether to open it and assemble/paint and display or leave it in the box? Any advice would be appreciated.

I know what; I had totally forgotten this from my childhood. I remember seeing this on BSG when it originally ran, and yeah, I too was a bit creeped out from it. But how long has it been now? GL called them the Android Sisters but they had the name in the book. MCA records called them the Space Angels so who knows who or what they really were. I always thought there were robots!🤣

They fascinated me rather than scared me as a kid. I was about five when i first watched it. If i recall correctly, the novelisation referred to them as the Tucana sisters. I'm not sure if Tucana was the dance troupe name or the race, though.

I loved the makeup work as a kid. Better in many ways to the Star Wars Cantina creature makeup. Example, the wolf mask in the Cantine scene I thought was off the shelf rubber mask cheese as a kid. So, for me, the more original looking aliens, the better in any movie or science fiction series.

I remember hearing the animatronic masks would sometimes malfunction during filming, causing the eyes to cross. I wonder if the Android Sisters were inspired by a similar looking singing group that appeared in an episode of the short-lived 1977-78 sci-fi spoof "Quark"?

Well, not too unusual for the time. There was also the theme song to The Last Dinosaur. It was a Shirley Bassey sound alike time. Heh. To me they looked like the woman from the Sesame Street cartoon short where the woman in the VW bug can't get her car started so she puts the letter "R" in the motor. The site gag was that she was a tall woman with big hair unfolding out of that little car. I thought "Hey, its that lady!"
