I recognized the cover of the magazine in the thumbnail. It's the April, 1987 issue with Pet of the Month Jenna Persaud. I have NEVER seen an actual copy of the magazine but I do have 40 pictures of Jenna in my digital library. I just ran "Penthouse Cylon" through GOOGLE and found scans of the entire Cylon pictorial. WOAH, BABY!!!!! LUCKY CYLON DOG!!!!! The model was credited as "Andrea", the photographer was credited as "Dark Star" (not the first time I've seen this name attached to Penthouse). And for the record I have a very stunning image in hi-res of Jenna Persaud on a ridgeline over a beach with her back to the camera, squatting down on her haunches with the sun setting beyond her casting off a fiery orange and yellow backdrop. This has been my desktop image for probably 25 years or more. She did some acting. Run her name through the IMDB and you can find her credits. She was even one of the vampiresses in "Tales from the Crypt: Bordello of Blood".

I remember Creation Conventions!! Went to a _Star Trek_ one in Bellevue, WA back in 1993... it was the first Convention Kate Mulgrew ever did. I got her autograph on that TV Guide with her on the cover, and I remember she created a sensation when she referred to The Doctor as "Dr. Zimmerman"! I also remember picking up a copy of Brent Spiner's then- brand new CD _Old Yellow Eyes Is Back_ there- which was him covering a bunch of old Show tunes.

@battlestarcollectica7106 there was also the movie where a cylon team make it to earth and head to a radio station to broadcast to the cylons fleet. Two suits were basically off the studio lot. But one was left in the ship wreckage at crash site. So maybe it got colkected? Or maybe the suit designer/builders created a spare in their garage?

@@SMunro There were also several suits used for publicity appearances at events. I can recall a long ago article by a person hired to be a Cylon for this purpose. He described how heat was a tremendous problem and how after finishing the work for the day he stripped down to his underwear and laid down on a cold concrete floor to drain off the heat accumulated in his body. This could be a bit dangerous but seemed like a good idea at the time.

There is another bottomless pic where the Cylon appears to be doing a vajayjay inspection. Good hygiene is always important. I mean you don't see the Cylons looking dirty, ever LOL.

I'm sure the controversy around the suit, would only make it that much more valuable. I don't know why Universal would be concerned. It's only us old guys who wouldn't think twice paying for porn. The shoot occurred long after BSG was done. I'm sure Universal didn't care what happened to the suit, since the show long since wrapped. The stories I've heard about props walking off could fill a set of encyclopedias, another old reference. :) But since it's a high profile mag, that would get their attention. I would have snagged the mag back then. I never heard of it, I'm one of the geeks who would have picked it up. I think Universal would be wise to leave it be, it's not even worth a law clerks time. Since this isn't the only time this sort of thing has happened. I did pick the issue up, it wasn't expensive. Worth a laugh in the collection, but that's about it. I did look for that issue online, nothing. I'm sure it's out there, but it wouldn't be worth it.

Same goes with props and set-pieces, more then one show has gone on break, not been renewed, and the sets destroyed while the producers were shopping the show to other networks, a process often enough that it 'inspires' the artists that make the shows to save pieces for their own showreels and displays, such as those times when they need to prove they were the ones that made it.

This looks like they were filming my favorite shot of the Galactica, first seen when Adama realized that the destruction of the colonies was happening while the fleet was getting ambushed and he orders Galactica home. @battlestarcollectica7106 I was a big Star Wars fan as a child in the 80s. I found a BG annual in school and read it from cover to cover in awe. We then found all the figures in a clearance bin at the local market. It wasn't until the mid 80s that the I saw the series for the first time on TV in the UK. I think they were Sunday evening re-runs but I was hooked. Your channel keeps the dream alive.

So this is Battlestar’s version of the Star Wars Holiday Special. Only here Universal did what George Lucas wanted to do. Destroy the prints and make sure it never saw the light of day again. Only problem was copies of the special exist and were/are available at conventions and KZbin. The same could probably be said about this Penthouse magazine.
