It takes about 4 hours to fly from LA to Atlanta, it's about 2,000 miles and flight speed is around 500mph. The earth is rotating away from the direction of flight at 700 mph, so according to this video, we had a tail wind of 700 mph, which is rediculous. Did we have the same headwind flying from Atlanta to LAX? If so, the air speed would have been about 1200 mph to make the flight in 4 hours but the Boeing 747 has a max speed of 544mph, afterwhich th plane can become unstable. Just using some basic math, none of this makes sense.

"it does not matter wheteher an airplane is moving westward or eastward, it is always moving at the same speed, TO THE EARTH" okay my question is this, if the speed we maintain when flying a plane is always similar, when compared to the GROUND, doesn't that suggest airplanes moving eastward with the earth are needed to exert a lot more force to not only keep up with the earth's rotation, but surpass it at the same relative speed of an airplane going the opposite direction? I researched, and planes move at about ~800 km/h. meaning half of the earth's rotation speed. for the speed to be maintained (relative to the earth) when flying eastward, shouldn't the plane exert 3 times its engine force? also, in the video he mentioned jetstreams, saying "moving in the direction of winds saves fuel and time" which confused me even more. the atmosphere always rotates with the earth and it moves at about the same speed. so moving "in the direction of the wind" is always moving eastward, with earth's rotation. does that mean the wind is powerful enough to "carry" the airplane with it, so that we actually need to exert LESS force to fly at the same relative speed to the earth (when moving eastward that is)? please, I'm losing my mind over these questions. if anyone knows the answers I'll be eternally grateful

The earth rotation speed is different on the globe 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 The circumference of the earth varies depending on the latitude buth the earth as a "globe" is rotating as a unit!!!!!! Regardless of what latitude I am at. Otherwise I would move faster in the time on a globe the further south or north of the equator I am than you, who are exactly at the height of the equator. At least according to your explanation!!!

And how do you explain how can a airplain landing on a runway that is moving with 1670 km per hour if the airplain is just flying with 250 km the hour in the landing phase. At an altitude of 300 400 500 meters there is no jet stream that increases the speed of the aircraft so that the aircraft can catch up the speed of the runway!!!???? Except the earth isn't a globe and it doesn't rotate either, That would actually be the logical conclusion

If we had an intelligent government we would put this into production in the US. Every currently operating F-16 would gradually be replaced with these, beginning with the oldest aircraft in service. These would fly behind the F-35 and engage targets as the F-35 detected them.

The reality is that the F-35 is soaking up most of the defense budget, and the Air Force is desperate for the NGAD. They know the F-22 and F-35 are not sufficient to do the job because the latest VHF radars can see them coming from as much as 150 miles away. The NGAD will get rid of the vertical and horizontal stabilizers, which is what allows the VHF radars to see them. The VHF radars can't lock on them but they can get range, bearing, and altitude, which is all they need to get to vector fighters in for a side or rear intercept, where the F-35 and F-22 are most vulnerable. The F-35 program is so expensive that the AF is cutting the number of average hours the F-35 can fly from something like 240 hours a year to 180 hours per year. Pilots are upset and leaving at the end of their contracts because they need to build hours faster than this so they can get out at the end of the contract and get a job with a commercial airliner. They are leaving to go to FedEx and UPS flying reginal planes to pick up packages. This is the path that civilian pilots take because you can build hours pretty fast.
