Cheers mate. Our roller door exploded last night and I had no idea what to do. After watching this and couple of your other vids I managed to safely release the remaining spring tension, reattached the panel and got it all working better that it has since we moved in 👍 100% on board with the double pipe wrenches, worked a treat!

Hey mate, I believe I need a new receiver. Pressing the "learn" button does not light up the red globe and the remotes (all working fine) do not open the door. Manual operation using the button on the control box opens and closes the door fine. The receiver pops in and out fine, elements are clean but seems dead. Do you know if replacing just the receiver circuit board is fine? Or would I need and entire new board (Main circuit plus reciever)?

Sure thing, it’s just the same procedure as programming the wall button, can choose any 1 of the 4 button that you’d like for each door .

can you have a the door set to open with key 1 and key 2? At times the big button fails due to carbon build on on the contacts on the PCB and it would be nice to still be able to open the door

My door now won't open. Per your instruction, I re-tensioned the spring so it doesn't drop at half open (half turn down on the wrench). So I guess I have to back the spring tension off? The motor seems to be straining. So I back off the spring tension? Cheers.

Hey mate. Our B&D Panel Pro door won't go up or down with remote. I can hear the motor working but the chain has no movement. It seems to have shat itself when we accidentally closed the door on the car, and we pressed the remote buttons like crazy in panic. Sounds like the motor is struggling with pulling the weight of the door. Tried what you suggested in this video but no luck. In your professional opinion, do you think the unit is buggered and needs replacing? Cheers.

That’s a tough one to diagnose remotely but sounds like maybe the motor has done the nylon gear and could be toast. If the motor looks like the one is the video then most likely. I’d suggest stay away from B&D and go a Merlin sectional door opener they have something like only .3% failure rate it’s crazy good.

Haha yeah maybe muscle memory! please be careful it’s under some reasonable powerful spring tension but not overly crazy like a panel lift door (2 turns compared to 8). Also never 👎🏻 attempt when the door is closed only open.

@@rollerdoors Probably why it was tough for us, I think we did it whilst closed since there was limited space. Can't remember as it was so long ago. Probably why we did quite a few turns too. Certainly enough tension in there to kill someone!

How you doing brother. My manual roll up door spun up way too fast and now one side is wrapped up extremely tight and the other side is ballooning. The loose side came right off the track and pushed over about an inch. not sure how to fix it.

One of those issues that’s bit hard to understand without seeing it but perhaps removing the tracks will free the door up to be able to pull it down

Should have gone to Specsavers 👓 because the can clearly says HHS2000. But you can also use your tears if you like doesn’t matter.

Maybe. The remote should either crack open with screwdriver or have screws and maybe is a Cr2032
