Out of all the relationships Tony had, Gloria really effected him. And she was the most abusive. Experts say that breakups are hard enough but when you breakup with someone with a cluster B personality disorder, it takes alot longer. Their brief fling impacted him and someone like Tony has little to zero empathy unless it's for animals which again, highlights a part of his disorders. Such amazing writing. I have been involved with 2 females that has BPD and Gloria plays and acts it perfectly. The self sabotage, the drastic mood swings. When things are going well, she has to ruin it all. Because people with BPD can't believe they are worthy of being loved and fear abandonment, so they act in ways that guarantees abandonment so they can say at the end "see, I knew he would leave me.' When I first watched the 3rd season with gloria, I rewatched her scenes because it gave me goosebumps because of how much it reminded me previous relationships with persons with BPD. The mood swings, violence and the hidden gem that people missed... Gloria's drinking. She always had to much wine, to self medicate and try to hide from who she believed she was. Which in turn, makes her symptoms worse. Absolutely brilliant writting.
