As a parent it absolutely left a lump in my throat when Meadow's voice came through to "Finnerty" as her young child's voice. I believe to most parents, no matter how much their children grow into adults themselves, they're always that small child they remember and cherish.

Arguably one of the most important scenes regarding the rest of the sopranos series. Here Tony is given a choice of life and death, and for while he commits to living a better life (like most people who have a near death experience) but sadly he doesn't stick to it and ultimately leads to either his death or a sadder existence

This reminds me of the meeting he had with Carmine. Where Carmine says that his dad gave him a mellifluous box in his dream. Wich he opened and turned out to be empty,after which his dad tells him to fill it up. I think the whole theme of the mellifluous box was brought into this scene. When tony does not want to let go of the briefcase i believe it shows that subconsciously Tony wants to get out the mob and fill the box/briefcase with positive experiences. But in the end Tony will end up carrying an empty box on his way to the afterlife after all.

I had a friend who overdosed some years back and died for a few minutes. He was living a bad life, in a gang and selling drugs. He said he went to a black cold place and a figure was showing him bright warm colors so he walked towards the warmth. As he get closer he saw some friends that had passed away looking at him with terrified faces, as if warning him not to follow the colors. He was awoken once he before had to decide whether to keep walking towards or run away

I think this connects to that other dream with Livia on the stairs, where tony comes to do a masoning job. In that dream tony walks in the house as a stone mason to work on it. And in this dream it looks like that same house. So I think it's trying to show that Tony "built" his own hell because of his mother's influence on him as a person, that makes him miserable and hateful(and in the dream she is the one who called him to do the job. She told him how to "build" the house/hell.) And through the way he makes a living, literally. Stone mason - fixes up the house/builds his own hell) Mafia boss - lifestyle that leads to hell.

Please look into the Historical Jesus. A man existed in the same time and place as the biblical Jesus. This "man" just happens to have been described by more historians (Jocephus and pliny) than most roman emperors were documented to have lived. Jesus existed, and His teachings and laws are not of this world, they are not the work of a man and the sinful mind of man, they are Divine. Christ Bless you, may He Guide you to the Truth.
@lachlanmclennan21882 жыл бұрын
@@justinwaters8679 just because the man existed doesn't mean he was a supernatural being. I consider him a great philosopher. Not something to be worshipped just someone to listen too.
@justinwaters86792 жыл бұрын
@@lachlanmclennan2188 True, He existed as a "rabbi" in the same time and place as the Biblical Jesus. For me, His teachings are what makes him supernatural, as most teachings fly in the face of what human instincts and reflexes say to do. To me, a "human" that teaches to "love thy enemies, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you" is not a mere human, to me, that teaching can only come from the Heart of God, and not the sinful and vengeful minds of men.. I cannot prove it, but my gut feeling has always agreed with the concepts demonstrated by Jesus (of course, based on the best historical accounts that exist.) The selflessness and compassion shown in the laws of God and the sacrifice of Jesus cry out to me that this was no ordinary man. The ultimate act of love is said to be "To lay down one's life for a friend.", and this seems to have been fulfilled by Christ on the cross. It seemed cruel to me at first, yet I believe that only an all- loving God would sacrifice his son, in order to show the world the ultimate act of love and compassion for humankind and it's redemption. I am still learning more about Jesus everyday, this is simply what I believe in my heart. It is mostly based on faith that I cannot prove, yet my gut feeling tells me to follow the sinless God- man Jesus. I see no real disadvantage in holding to the belief in laws that make sense with or without Jesus, I don't see what I have to lose. Thank you for the reply, there is always more to learn about every subject, all the best.

If you are concerned about the eternal, Christ taught me this: "Seek first the Kingdom of God, and all things shall be added unto you." I implore you all to research History and comparative religion, then decide which Yogi, "prophet", or teacher to follow for yourself. As for me, I will follow the Sinless Lamb of God, as there is no other figure, being or "prophet" that comes close to the Glory and sound teachings of Christ Himself. He told Human- kind to "Choose this day whom ye shall serve" We can always join the Lord's army. Spiritual- warfare is our cause, and Faith is our "sword of the spirit" by which we shall overcome both Hell and Death. Christ came to conquer Death and Hell and give His creation "life more- abundantly" aKa "Life Eternal". I wish you all Blessings and Faith to find Him before he finds you, I hope you will not wait until your last hour. All the best.

@@lachlanmclennan2188 I understand the Mithraic, Tammuz "trinity", the Pharaohs and all the other "Father- mother- son" pagan "trinity"- like beliefs, Jesus- Myth theory is a well defined and debunked theory, even by atheist Historians. The important thing is that the Christian trinity is defined as 1. Father God Almighty, 2. Jesus the Son of the aforementioned Almighty, and 3, the Holy Spirit, or Holy Ghost, which conceived the Messiah by spirit, not carnal- knowledge. This differs from all other similar "trinity"- like pagan faiths in the past. Christ is Holy, set apart from the sinful nature of mankind from His conception, birth, life, and his death on the cross for your sins and mine. For all the theory we can define, true- Faith has to be specific, as there are thousands of gods throughout History, while Jesus claimed to be "the first and the last" and "the Way", which implies Him being the Only way. You may think Christ outdated, but following the Age- Old laws in the Bible have kept me from making major mistakes in the past and have made me a better person. Bottom line for me, if the teachings of Christ can help me to live a better life and avoid most of the pitfalls of life, I say what do I have to lose? If we take the supernatural out of the equation, the ten commandments still make sense with or without Christ. Most teachings demonstrate a great understanding and empathy for the Human condition, and they are there to keep the peace in society (Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife). As well, these rules are to promote harmony between all Humans in civilized society, as "All of the Law is fulfilled in this; That ye shall love the Lord with all your heart, and that ye love thy neighbor as thyself." By carrying out these two basic commands, the earth would be transformed into a Utopia for a day. Aside from that, we will not see a true reversal of this degeneration any time soon. I see major virtue in these Laws and statutes, you may not agree, and I respect your right to free speech and thought. I would never force religion or simply being a Christ- follower (as I am, a non-denominational follower of The Way) on anyone, as we were given Free- will by God to determine our own destinies. I guess you can look at it as an exercise in self- discipline and self- improvement with religious overtones lol, but it works for me. Thank you for the reply, as it is always good to review and analyze why we hold the beliefs that we do, you have made me think. All the best to you.
