Very interesting interview. I am glad these are available when I do my ballot research. Watching Mr. Brown for a third time, he seemed a bit arrogant this time around, I may be wrong but he doesn't come across as having the capabilities of being an "empathetic" judge.

Among all the Sentinel interviews of candidates for elected political office for which I've taken the opportunity to review and there's been many of them LOL- this office for Elections Supervisor is probably the one I'm the most passionate about. The Orange County Supervisor of Elections is the person responsible for protecting the sanctity of your personal right to vote. That should matter to everyone regardless of gender, race, creed or sexual orientation. Fortunately here within the Democratic Party your choices are very excellent to choose from. Any one of these candidates is a better choice than the Governor's appointed selection of Glen Gilzean who currently sits in that position. Among the 4 candidates shown here appearing on the Democrat ticket we have one career elected politician, one grass roots community organizer, one salaried elections administrator and one partisan party political organizer & leader intertwined with all 3. I'll of course let you watch the video on your own here to determine which is which. Of course, if you like can also just read on further. If you're going for name recognition alone Karen Castor Dantel has got to be your top pick among the other 3. 15:54 She's the career politician who has served the community with distinction in various offices but is clearly lacking in personal knowledge and expertise for the office of which she seeks. I'm sure she can serve admirably should she be elected to this office but undoubtedly there's going to be a considerable amount of time involved in her learning the daily operation of this new department and we're all going to have to factor in a longer than usual learning curve in bringing her up to speed. The same learning curve factor would also apply to electing Sunshine Grund who's a Community Organizer but she's even less experienced than Karen and lacks her political savvy to properly get the job done. However, to her credit Ms Grund accepts no political contributions in her current campaign and that alone makes her a diamond in the ruff. 13:20 That leaves us then with Dan Helm and Wes Hodge as the last 2 candidates to properly evaluate. Wes Hodge can be seen more as a candidate in the style Karen Castor Dentel. Like her he better understands the political interworkings involved in performing the duties of Elections Supervisor and seems a lot more passionate about assuming the current position available than certainly Ms Dantel 1:02:09 Finally that brings us to Dan Helm. He's the only candidate whose actually worked within the Election Supervisors office as an Administrator and received a paycheck for doing so. None of the other candidates can say that. 1:07:10 Mr. Helm served as Past Regional Director of Voter Protection within his department. He has years of experience in understanding how that department operates and is passionate about protecting our citizens from voter intimidation and suppression. 41:05 The only other person nearly as passionate about wanting to serve in this office is Wes Hodges. Mr. Hodges has a lot of great ideas about encouraging vote turnout. He's also concerned about protecting the sanctity of your vote especially for non speaking English residents who often feel left out 29:43 Clearly Dan Helm is the best qualified administrator for day to day operations to be elected to this position. He also knows the staff and more importantly they already and they know him. He can streamline the department better than Mr. Hodges can and like his predecessor save taxpayer dollars.52:46 While Wes Hodges seems to excel more in the area as being a better public relations promoter and community cheerleader for the department all the way around. 28:30 He knows more politicians Democrat and Republican. He better speaks their lingo when it comes to getting budget measures passed and of course if necessary raising new money. Obviously you can see your 2 choices comes down to either "Dan Dan the Voting Man" as he's often referred to within his own department 1:07:44 or Wes Hodges the political insider who possesses a strong passion for voter rights and voter :protection. 1:03:10. You really can't go wrong with choosing either of these two candidates.

It's impossible to think that the Orlando Sentinel moderators thought that with this interview between these two candidates it wasn't going to turn into a full blown drag down out shouting match. If they didn't see that coming, they were obviously just kidding themselves. This wasn't an interview or even a debate by normal political standards. It was instead an embarrassment for all parties involved including the newspaper. I especially blame the 12 year incumbent Scott Randolph for allowing this all to happen here by not acting more professional and frequently losing his cool likely on and frequently off camera too. He should've known better than to lower himself down to the level of his opponent. However, each of them acted like children and were given equal access time to throw mud around at each other. However, the moderators who needed to have intervened earlier like a disciplining parent instead simply sat still rolling their eyes about eventually reaching for the mute button for both candidates but often when it was way too late. However, putting all of that aside some important useful points were actually brought up if you can stick with this video right up until the very end. Scott Randolph since taking over for his predecessor Earl K Wood has made significant major improvements in efficiency in the tax collector's office and the DMV over the last 12 years. Just try to imagine if you can what it was like before Mr. Randolph eventually took over for the legendary Mr. Wood. Earl K Wood stayed in as the tax collector for over 50 years right up until his sad passing in 2012 at the ripe old age of 96. Wood ran the office like it was still 1962 for all these years and technology to say the least was something he definitely frowned upon. You expected to wait just like Mr. Randolph said 3 hours to get your drivers license card renewed or even tag sticker for your current vehicle license plate. Appointments didn't exist and it was very much like entering a building made up of employees moving around like the walking dead. I'm actually very serious here it was that bad. Fast forward now to 2024 and it makes a world of a difference comparable to that of Night and Day. Wait time in line with appointments is really only around 15 minutes. Much of that attributed to the management style and expertise of one Scott Randolph. Orange County definitely owes him truly a debt of gratitude. However, putting all of that aside. Any suggestion of impropriety which is what David Freeman is making is not something you simply laugh off or claim as nothing more than your opponent crying sour grapes. It should be investigated or at least further researched and discussed. You would think it would be easy enough to look up whether Randolph indeed has a $100,000 campaign war chest and how much of that money indeed comes from Comcast masked instead as a different entity. I tend to agree with the current incumbent that the controversial public tag agencies closed were likely a part of a county wide consolidation of local offices. Insuring offices closed also had replacements available that where only15 minutes away or shorter driving time from the offices that were previously open. However did Mr. Randolph accept money from these 3 private tag agencies he allowed to open near the closed offices and did it result in some type of kick back money paid to him directly. Personally, I don't know and he didn't seem to want to answer that question directly either. However, granted the person making the accusation is David Freeman. Mr. Freeman doesn't appear to be any more of a credible source to listen to versus what Mr. Randolph has to say here. In fact, Mr. Freeman sounds like he may have his own fair share of skeletons in the closet he doesn't want to talk about either. Consequently, it looks like both men are mainly addressing accusations in this video based mostly on here-say and implied innuendo. I'm at a loss for now to come to any logical conclusions here as too many questions are still left unanswered as to what really happened here. So I guess you take all of this knowledge at least for now, and take it for what it's worth. However, the bottom line is still that historically Scott Randolph has been a very competent office holder. He has been so for these last 12 years. On the other hand, it seems Mr. Freeman is more interested in simply ousting Mr. Randolph than he is in wanting to aggressively reform the current office to date. The sad fact of the matter is that I'm not even sure that Mr. Freeman even knows the difference between what a Property Appraiser is supposed to do versus the duties for the office he's running for. Just being honest here. Ordinarily I would enthusiastically endorse Scott Randolph for another term without question. However, now with some clouds of uncertainty hanging over his head and still without a more credible candidate to run against him, he obviously remains our only choice . Personally speaking for at least the time being, I really don't have a serious problem with that, considering the alternative choice we have to choose from.

I appreciate Mr. Vail's professionalism, insight and respectful manner towards his opponent. I also like his enthusiasm in making sure our elections are honest and fair, and reminding the gov't that the people own the gov't not the other way around. According to Mr. Hay's - nothing needs to change and he's done a perfect job. Hum, Not quite the "servant attitude" or response I would be willing to vote for.

Judge Adam McGinnis has been a county judge now for almost 12 years. He appears to be a very competent judge. As far as advancing any new ideas to streamline the judicial process he seems very open minded about it but necessarily adamant about any radical changes anytime soon. He cites very proudly that in every courtroom division he has served in he has consistently reduced the caseload from the start time to finish. He also cites an example 2 years ago when he took over the domestic violence division he was able to reduce the time from a persons arrest to arraignment from 72 days to around 38 days nearly cutting it in half in only just about a years time. 20:23 Atty Guerrero herself comes across as a very conscientious young attorney who upholds very high ideals in her legal services practice. She's a board certified trial attorney which alone is a very impressive accomplishment indeed. I like her idea especially about setting up a specialty division for criminal traffic cases and driver license cases with a dedicated judge since they occupy such a large number of cases remaining on the docket in Group 11. 26:00 She also advocates for a specialty division to handle homeless cases considering the sensitivity of the subject matter involved. 26:31 She cited examples in S Florida already successfully utilizing such a division. Judge McGinnis appears to somewhat agree with Atty Guerrero in these two areas about dedicating a greater focus. However, he does cite that the US Attorneys office tried to setup a traffic related diversion program which ultimately didn't pan out ultimately in the long run. 27:25. The judge doesn't appear to be an overly strong advocate of setting up a specialized division for traffic cases only and certainly not with a dedicated judge to oversee it. He does though like his Operation Greenlight program which works to help to get Florida drivers their driver's license back. The judge also seems very open minded about setting up a separate DUI Specialty court division 26:52 and that alone itself sounds very encouraging indeed. However, it really all comes down to this. Ultimately in the end you're going to have to vote for judge the person you think best adheres to your own personal values. Someone you think will take the court system in the direction you want it to take now and in the future Personally, I can't see any reason why we would want to remove Judge McGinnis from the bench. His high marks as a judge from the ABA speaks volumes for itself. Atty Guerrero if she wishes to pursue in the future another judgeship she is more than qualified to do so. However, right now I see no reason right why here in the Orange County Group 11 division that we would need to consider jumping ship anytime soon.

You can tell just by listening to Judge Wilson that she has clearly been on the bench now for 10 years and she really knows her stuff. I can now see why so many attorneys I've spoken to in the past have enjoyed appearing before her bench. However, in all fairness Jason Wilson is a very competent attorney who definitely possess the qualities and temperament to make an excellent judge in the future. Both candidates articulate exceptionally well. His advocacy for more court certified interpreters who better understand " the legal ease" ex :court vocabulary and jargon and would make things easier for those litigants who face these language barriers to be adjudicated even more fairly. 19:30. I also liked his idea about better serving those with unique abilities "impairment" beforehand by having some type of a checklist that an officer goes through with an arrest affidavit to cite possible areas of concern for later assistance.20:23 This guy is really sharp and I think if he was running in another group instead of the 37th he would probably have my vote. Judge Wilson shares a similar concern about adding more court certified language interpreters . She especially focused on those who speak Spanish and Haitian/Creole. It appears that these limited number of interpreters have transportation issues that come into play as they float between Orange and Osceola county. i was hoping that she was going to share her own personal solution for this problem but she failed to elaborate. Jason Wilson is really big on embracing technology in operating the judicial court system and I'd think even more so than Judge Wilson. He likes the cost savings involved and efficiency it provides. Jason is happy to go more virtual when it comes to holding hearings and Judge Wilson comes across more as being old school preferring when possible the human touch if its available. Judge Wilson has over 27 years of professional legal experience. Jason Willis has an extensive background in Criminal, Immigration and Family law. He's more than qualified to start serving on day 1. What most impresses me about Judge Wilson is that after 10 years being on the bench she can still think outside the box. I loved how she talked about the ability that the Chief Judge of the 9th circuit has in moving these individual circuit court judges around if the docket in one group is piling up in say civil, family or criminal cases. 25:08 That being that the expertise of one judge in a specific field might need to be temporarily re-assigned to decide those cases in another group and help speed the entire processing along. That statement alone in its simplicity reinforced my decision to for vote for her as she advances her re-election bid. I applaud Jason Wilson and I hope he again runs for Judge in another group as he's deserving of a court of his own. However, clearly this year Judge Wilson still earns my vote and I wish her the best in the years to come.

The incumbent Jeff Ashton has 2 relative newcomers in judicial politics running against him this year, Both opponents offer new fresh insight into operating the Ninth Court Circuit bench and we shouldn't take their words at all lightly. No matter how we'd like to think that all judges strive to be impartial when it comes to judicial politics sadly that scary serpent often rears its ugly head. Often it just seems inevitable in order to finance a successful campaign and attracting contributions from new donors. It seems of the 3 candidates here only Chris Mack can proudly say he has financed his own campaign independently. If we are to believe Judge Ashton it seems that Atty Peyton has accepted over $100.000 in campaign financing from personal injury trial lawyers and she seemed unwilling to deny the claim at least when she made her closing statement. The judge apparently wanted to throw a little mud around at the end of the interview but Atty Peyton chose to take the high road instead. In the past Jeff Ashton has accepted major financial contributions in his rise to power. However, once you've been in public service over 43 years and your name is well known out there in the community raising a campaign war chest is often not necessary but he obviously failed to point that out in this interview. It's obvious that Judge Ashton wishes to simply maintain the status quo. His past years as a State Attorney and trial results are definitely open to public scrutiny. However, I think he's advanced beyond the era of the Casey Anthony trial of which we can evaluate him based on his performance solely as a judge and not as a trial lawyer who lost some heart wrenching cases many of us know of in the past. It's obvious that in electing Alicia Peyton we will be electing a judge with a great deal of compassion and to the same degree applies also to the choice of Chris Mack. Judge Ashton is more of a tenured bureaucrat nowadays where his decades of experience still carries weight but often isn't by todays standards necessarily seen as being visionary. Consequently, I find it very difficult to recommend one candidate vs the other at his point but Ashton is the safe bet to go with if you're leery about making any changes to the current system or changing horses in mid stream. Base instead your decision of all 3 candidates on their individual merits alone. Hopefully you'll choose the one that best reflects your personal values and perception of justice as far as what you'd like to see going forward.

It's obvious in watching this structured interview before us that Atty Brown would have preferred this methodical interview to have been in more of a free for all debate format. However, that was not the intent of the Orlando Sentinel in providing this time for the candidates to speak. Whether you would have preferred different questions asked instead it doesn't give you liberty to go off the subject matter at hand and air your own personal grievances about your opponent on an entirely separate matter. I'm not here to scold Atty Brown but obviously he had his own personal agenda in mind to talk about even if it meant shall we say going off the script at the expense of others in the process. However, let's put that aside for now and chalk it up to the adversarial style and nature found in most successful trial lawyers and give it some wiggle room of forgiveness. Unfortunately important points that need to be clarified sadly sometimes were often lost in all the confusion. Atty Brown has 17 years of experience practicing law in Central Florida and Governor appointed Judge Craig McCarthy is merely a recent transplant to this area within the last 2 years. That's a very important consideration when passing judgement on the litigants before you. Although a circuit judge though not often will decide criminal cases it's true that Judge McCarthy has no criminal trial experience at all which is absolutely worth noting, His area of expertise is more in handling cases in family law. However, that's the type of cases he predominantly decides anyhow in the circuit court but not always. Consequently, you can't necessarily hold that against him as being a major liability. If making a movie and we were casting someone to play a judge definitely Judge McCarthy better fits the bill. He seems to present himself as having more of level headed temperament than Atty Brown but looks can often be deceiving. However, putting all of that aside the residents of this circuit court district certainly have 2 dipolar opposites of candidates in which to choose from. Judge McCarthy is an efficient judge in handling his docket. However, he seems more interested in simply deciding as many easy cases as he can first and leaving the tougher decisions and most heart wrenching often left out there dangling in the wind. This doesn't exactly say much for him for being fair in how he treats all his cases but maybe it just comes as a result out of necessity not necessarily neglect Atty Brown appears to want to be more of an activist judge serving on the bench and Judge McCarthy is exactly the opposite. Judge McCarthy prefers to work within already existing laws but that may also mean he's unwilling to use judicial discretion when necessary to make sure someone doesn't get off easier than they should especially when handling down a very difficult decision. Both men bring equal merits in their qualifications to serving on the bench but each likely has a different approach to achieving ultimate justice. Although this is a non partisan race clearly Atty Brown leans more toward traditional Democrat political policies and Judge McCarthy Republican. However, I'm not passing judgement on either of them here. Each candidate is clearly qualified and I'm confidant both men would try to keep their personal biases out the their courtroom decisions. Personally, I didn't hear Judge McCarthy champion any accomplishments he's made over the last 2 years as judge in his final summary statement. Why he didn't for me is concerning. That suggests to me he plans to maintain the status quo and for some of you out there you may applaud him in total agreement for doing just that. However, I think we can all do extremely better and in the future we will have to. For that reason I will be casting my vote this year for Atty Brown and hoping justice in the end will ultimately prevail.

Teach politics in school, sure, but leave political bias and agendas out of schools, whichever party. Schools should be non-partisan. If they talk like a politician, they are in it for what they can get out of it. Lets see some educators and parents with kids going though the system on the boards of every district, not the politically motivated.

This was a very informative interview with the 3 candidates for County Commissioner. Each candidate excelled in certain areas while each equally faltered somewhat in others with some to the point of not even answering the question at all. However, I guess that's politics for you anyhow. Let's start with Commissioner Uribe first. How refreshing to hear about a politician who actually answers her own phone. I've been emailed numerous times by her staff to attend town halls for my personal input and some I have attended and learned a great deal from. The virtual meetings she offers are also very convenient. She was instrumental in getting a 4 way stop sign at an intersection turning into my subdivision and her office is always available if I have any questions. However, Commissioner Uribe has no viable options to address our homelessness problem in Orange county and her solution to affordable housing is simply reducing impact fees for developers with 20% to 30%% of housing designated as being affordable. It took Sen. Stewart to address the possibility of purchasing affordable "boxed houses" as permanent housing for today's homeless population. An idea already being used in comparable urban cities our size and quite successfully I might add.. I further applaud Mr. Martinez for reminding us all that previous portable school houses disposed of by the county recklessly months earlier which could have been relocated and reused as permanent housing instead for the homeless but no one on the Board even thought to make the consideration. Both Innovative ideas vs what Commissioner Uribe prefers to fall back on which is primarily not for profit organizations like the Homeless Services Network and 211 which often miss spend county tax dollars on services that sometimes provide for the least amount of people. I quote Mr. Martinez in addressing this point and doing so very eloquently I might add. All of the candidates acknowledge a concern to "protect rural boundaries" and restrict massive urban growth but none of them have their own quick fix solution because obviously there really isn't one out there. Commissioner Uribe was on the hot seat for what happened with Split Oaks but it sounds like her hands were ultimately tied by the DOT. She had to choose the lesser of 2 evils knowing in either case nobody was going to win. On the issue of addressing our growing public transportation problem Mr. Martinez coming from New York City was the first to address our inadequacies in that area right off. He's right that we rely too heavily on Linx public transportations services instead of investing in our personal county owned transportation system. Commissioner Uribe acknowledged the cash drain effect Sun Rail has had on our tourist tax revenue expenditures bringing little value to the county and the city as a whole in the long run. Finally with the influx of new residents to central Florida new development growth is only inevitable and roads will need to be widened and who eventually is supposed to pay for that. Sen Stewart still favors the 1 penny added county sales tax for transportation improvements. On the contrary, Mr. Martinez and Commissioner Uribe favor instead the redirecting of funds from the county tourist tax to cover such costs or taking it instead from the already approved reserves in the "Visit Orlando " funds. Something Sen. Stewart has already stated here that she is adamantly against. In closing. it all comes down to whether we keep our current Commissioner so she can serve out what will be her last term in County government because of set term limits. The other option is that we go with a former 8 year County Commissioner Linda Stewart who once she reaches her term limit immediately jumps over to run for a different elected office. A career politician if I ever saw one. Likely not our best choice here. Lastly, there's Mr. Martinez who has a lot of good ideas he brings to the table but lacking in elected political experience which might ultimately work instead to his ultimate favor. Commissioner Uribe is definitely worthy of another term. However, the other option is to go with the political novice Mr. Martinez and start 4 years earlier a whole new era in County Govt politics without waiting. These two candidates are your 2 best choices. Linda Stewart is well deserving of her retirement after more than 25 distinguished years in public service and I wish her all the best.

Just a suggestion Orlando Sentinel for the future. 47:08 Taking 2 1/2 minutes at the end of this interview with the moderator giving your disclosure stating " don't take our endorsement as your beginning and end" could have been summed up in less than 30 seconds. More time that could have been spent giving the candidates more time to speak.

It's a shame the moderator who asked the question about the candidate's position on consumer protection in general 36:50 didn't reiterate putting aside the examples I gave in asking this question on consumer protection it's meant to be answered separately in a general manner on consumer protection only. Consequently we got the question answered since Sen Stewarts remark on puppy mills and animal predator relocation on just those limited subjects only Why Linda answered the question the way she did was her mistake or confusion and everyone else followed suit thereafter. The moderator tried to reinstate the question but the seed placed was already planted. Fortunately Commissioner Uribe at least expanded on the subject matter to include other topics as well. Overall, what a waste of time with the Sentinel asking this poorly worded question..

Schools need more HOMEWORK! Elementary school: 1 page Math. Very occasional projects. Little to nothing ELSE. Recommended, not required, 20 mins Reading. This is totally inadequate. They should be required to read a book every week or two and write a short explanation of the story. Children can absorb so much more without being burnt out and benefit from having less time to spend on gadgets, which destroy their brains and grades. They should have an hour of homework every evening. Give the parents a chance to work with their children and see where there needs are. I know teachers are overburdened already but I feel there needs to be more frequent parent-teacher meetings, mid and end semester with realistic goals set for improvement. As for the English questions in Elementary, many were really bad. As a parent I could not figure out what on earth they were talking about. I mentioned this in parent-teacher meetings. The questions were ridiculous. Who sets these? Who decides the curriculum, who approves the books, the questions? It seems that over the years teachers have less and less say and "the system" has taken over and teachers just do what they are told to do. My perception, quite possibly wrong. Should cell phones be banned from school? No. Restricted to lockers. Yes. Used During school hours? No, unless emergency. Ear buds / other gadgets - same. IMO. But, phones, gadgets "social" media is part of our kids lives, not was not part of our lives, so schools should teach about these things and the dangers of what really is anti-social media and the dangers as well as the benefits. They might include a session where kids show there favorite apps, things they do. Could be very constructive, rather than outright ban. Not to get political, but lets get political, sort of. Why do politicians get premium healthcare and not teachers (and vets)? Isnt there something wrong with this?

Neither of the candidates running here currently works in the Public Defenders office. This is an important fact which is not pointed out at the start of this interview and needs to be clarified here and going forward. Both candidates are currently local attorneys serving in the private practice. Easter has no experience working within the local Public defenders office while Atty Vickers left her position as the number 2 attorney in the Ninth District public defender's office in 2019. She spent 21 years within that office as an attorney leading up to her sudden and sometimes referred to by others as a "controversial" if not "toxic" resignation. Atty Easter herself has excellent credentials having served in the Bronx public defenders office before coming here to central Florida. Her credentials as Regional Director for the non profit organization Partners For Justice is commendable and noteworthy yet she still lacks the local ties historically Atty Vickers can proudly claim for over 2 decades living here as a public servant. A point of interest worth mentioning is that the current Public Defender is Robert Wesley who is retiring and he has served in that position as Public Defender for the last 24 years. He's endorsing Easter as his successor so obviously some rift between Atty Vickers and Mr. Wesley is obviously still apparent. On paper both candidates appear immensely qualified. However, the long standing local ties Atty Vickers brings to the office is indeed impressive. However, some might say the excess number of years she served in the Public Defenders office brings with it some animosity within that office and lingering hard feelings by others. Basically it all comes down to choosing who you think will do a better job. The current public defender disassociated the public defenders office with the Florida Public Defenders Association and that was to the dismay of Atty Vickers while in office as she expressed in this interview. Atty Vickers wants to rejoin the Association in efforts to help provide support and advanced training to her staff while Atty Easter prefers to explore other options. Atty Easter wants to team up instead with national organizations to better stimulate employee growth and encourage greater self fulfillment. One area of the interview where it seemed to get intense was when both candidates were discussing effective means of communication with litigants whose primary language wasn't English. I was shocked to hear Atty Vickers admit that the public defenders office never made it a practice to partner current attorneys with those litigants who spoke the same language whenever possible. Not even third party language services were used on a regular basis. Citing this as a policy change she would make once elected. However, it still makes you wonder why she didn't have this done earlier when she was previously in the number 2 position and likely could have implemented it. Could it be because of her frequently bumping heads with her prior boss on a regular basis but then again whose to say? It's obvious that communication with litigants behind bars in the county jail and their (APDs) Public defender attorneys is lacking in many crucial areas as well. Especially where Internet communication restrictions between client and attorney is limited while the accused is still incarcerated. Both candidates appear adamant about wanting to change that. Personally, I'm leaning more towards Atty Vickers in this race even if her management style in the past has been possibly called into question. The auditing of cases assigned to attorneys seems to be a major thorny issue to some within the public defenders office which Atty Vickers strongly advocates. Easter seems to be suggesting that frequent auditing only hurts overall morale and lowers retention rates within the dept. Atty Easter believes less intrusive options would be a better way of monitoring attorney performance. Ultimately it may just come down to whose management style you prefer in deciding which candidate in the end gets your all important vote. Regardless, either candidate is immensely qualified to serve as our next Public Defender. You can't go wrong with either choice.

It seems that too many teachers are not teaching real math, science, and history along with proven biblical principles, that will help students find personal success later in life according to their own God-given gifts and understanding. I do not have a lot of faith in the "progressive-leaning Teacher Unions or the teachers that they promote.

Who is Brandon? Never met him in 5 years. I know several politicians. More roads are being built on the other side of Lake Toho, while more people are dying on highways in District 3.

Atty Jackson talks more like an incumbent judge already serving in the Circuit Court. Someone already happy with the status quo and not necessarily open to making any considerable changes. In comparison, Atty Goodyear sounds more like a devoted civic minded public defender with lots of promising new ideas but possibly less than realistic ideals about what goals are achievable let alone which ones are even feasible. Atty Jackson appears to give the idea of adding newer technology and innovations in the court system a passing degree of consideration but overall feels that most of them for the most part exist already in place if just not being used enough due to lack of knowledge by court officials in properly administering them. On the other hand, Atty Goodyear sounds more like someone who wants to spend a lot more money on adding more technological services without giving as much consideration to cost or even long term practicality of use. Obviously Atty Jackson is the more practical one of these two choices. When it comes to clearing the docket and adjudicating more cases, Atty Jackson seems to have the greater degree of experience as a trial atty in this specific area. Her methodical process of thinking comes into valuable consideration here in saving the taxpayers both time and money. However, that's not all that it takes to be a good judge. Compassion is also a necessary ingredient in electing a good judge. Atty Goodyear sounds clearly like the more compassionate person running in this race. You can actually hear it in her voice. Atty Jackson sounds more like a traditional law school professor. Atty Jackson sounds rather cold and more rigid in her demeanor but it's likely necessary at times to be that way to maintain efficiency in the courtroom and more effectively distant yourself from the various litigants in the case. The final questions asked in this interview probably sums it up best who you might prefer to vote for as your next judge. Atty Jackson is pretty much happy with the way the court system is already. She's all for "tweaking" the system in areas where necessary but she's overall pleased with its operation overall. Atty Goodyear is more interested in implementing change. She wishes to revise the sentencing structure which ties the hands of most judges and granting more discretionary privileges when it comes to handling out future sentences. Admirable to say the least but is it attainable or even realistic? Atty Jackson is the one who will be giving up a lucrative practice in becoming a circuit judge. It's almost like her humble roots are coming back to encourage her to give something back to the community and its people which has given her so much these many years while she made instead lots of money in her private practice. Unfortunately, after 20 years I think it may end up being perceived by some as too little and likely too late by even many in her old neighborhood. I can't tell you who to vote for here. Personally, most of my best friends are just like Atty Jackson and I'm just the opposite of them. I'm more like a philosopher or dreamer and they're more of a realist. However, you know what? Who's to say which way of thinking is really better. I'm certainly in no position to say so. Are you?

somewhat lame questions. Let's put God back in our schools. Let's put the pledge back in our schools. Let's put pride in America back in our schools. And let's remove the trash (sexual and political) from our education system. Teach history as is actually happened, black, while, native. The truth shall set you free. No child should be left behind. The school system is failing. There are "adults" in middle school. Who is overseeing what is really going on? The board members? I dont think so. We need teachers and parents to not only have a say but have the definitive say in school policies. Time to address these issues and stop pretending everything is fine. It isnt! School lunches are NOT good. My son gets home-cooked food because he cannot take the processed food that is served. Fresh? Trucked in fresh! Bring back school canteens!

Carl Tipton states that 9 out of 10 teachers ‘will put up with low pay and poor benefits if we can fix the discipline’. Either Mr. Tipton is engaging in hyperbole, or he has never actually spoken with a teacher in his life. While discipline is certainly an issue, I guarantee that teachers would manage the discipline for better pay and affordable healthcare for themselves and their families.

One simple follow up question for the incumbent should be, why wouldn’t you be doing that you said you would do if re-elected? Regarding to the language barrier, please do not inject the use of DEI!!!! DEI makes minority people feel like they are hired because they are given the position thanks to DEI, not because they are good and the best candidate for the position.

The parkway entrance on Marigold goes by Deerwood Elementary School, so why is it a problem going by KOA elementary school? So why wasn't the parkway built as a four lane to begin with in the first place. Now it's $4.00. And don't even think of putting roundabouts on Marigold. The speed limit is 30 mph now. Arrington doesn't care about the children and their health.

My 80 year old mother was abused by my ex. The sheriff's didn't ask if she needed an ambulance, or even if she was ok. They didn't even speak to her. My ex is a retired Correctional Officer, so they just spoke with him, and then after ignoring my 80 year mother, the sheriff told me I better have a good attorney. Help Now is supposed to be the "go to" place for domestic abuse. The only thing they ever did was tell women to go to one of their shelters.

Krys Flucker has the right to say her opinion on this! The ruling American Democrats are incapable of protecting the rights of LGBTQ+ people around the world. (Therefore, they are incapable of maintaining the comprehensive world domination of the American Nation.) For example, most NATO and EU countries (almost all) still discriminate against adults who love minors! The Paris Olympics became a good "radar" for identifying homophobes around the world, but this is not used to punish homophobes in NATO and the EU. Moreover, the Democrats are incapable of protecting the rights of LGBTQ+ people, Black Americans, and other discriminated Americans even in the US! In addition to failing to protect women's rights to abortion, the US still fails to arrest criminals who commit discriminatory crimes with impunity in other states, because in other states it is not considered a crime. (You know about the difference in legislation in different American states!) Although unpunished discriminatory criminals, arriving in another state (even in transit), are able to commit discriminatory crimes and conduct discriminatory propaganda and sow hatred based on this! American Democrats have not organized interstate protection from unpunished discrimination in the USA. (With the full connivance of the Democratic media, BLM, LGBTQ+ and other "defenders of the rights of the oppressed.") Americans, vote for the Republicans! Moreover, American schoolchildren do not have the official right to have sex and get married. Where is the promised freedom of choice? What does the American Constitution protect if not the rights of US citizens? The foreign policy weakness of the Democratic Party is obvious from the example of not using the opportunities of Armenia! Armenia could participate in the war of Israel against Palestine and Lebanon, defending Lebanon. This will make the war more protracted than it will prolong and increase the sale of American weapons in that war! If the Armenian peacekeeping garrison in Lebanon is attacked by the Israeli army - the Armenian army will have to defend itself from Israeli aggression and then attack. It will be natural for Armenia to wage war against Israel, because Israel supplied weapons to Azerbaijan! To encourage Armenia to do this, the US can start an international criminal tribunal (The Hague?) for the descendants of the Turks who committed the Armenian genocide in Turkey in 2015. Moreover, the US can "sew" Guyana, Antigua and Barbuda, Seychelles or Equatorial Guinea (state), or Saint Lucia (island) to Armenia to inspire Armenia to join the war between Israel and Palestine! The loss of Artsakh has greatly demoralized Armenia. Fernandina Island, Bonaire, Natuna Besar, Sri Lanka, Socotra, Karpathos, Zakynthos, Lampedusa, Minorca, Madeira, East Falkland, Lori, Tasmania or Lewis and Harris annexed to Armenia would be a worthy replacement for the previous options to inspire the Armenian nation for a new war! Moreover, it would strengthen the authority of the pro-Western regime of Nikol Pashinyan. (In Armenia.) In addition to this, the ruling Democrats did not exchange Russian oppositionists Ksenia Sobchak and Lana Parshina because they are Jewish women! Although the USA is the Supreme World Ruler, Judge and Teacher, the Greatest Nation and the Fairest Constitution. It is time to show American Greatness and Power by the example of saving the Jews! Do you want to make the USA Great Again? Donate your money to the Donald Trump Foundation for charity! Buy profitable rapidly growing Aeroflot bonds. Support the pro-Putin and pro-American candidate (Kaliningrad gubernatorial elections 2024) Alexey Besprozvannykh! You can help him with money to participate in the elections. (All links in the information on my channel.) Invite Russian television propagandist Vladimir Solovyov to highly paid talk shows in the USA! He is also a liberal, although he is forced to pretend to be a Putinist right now. In addition to this, in Russian Kaliningrad live heroic fighters against ugly store signs: Sergeyev, Gusak and Kuryanovich! (Legal.) If the Democratic Party sends each of them one million dollars, then they will be for the American Democrats. All three fighters are skilled potential friends of the Democratic Party! How can the Democrats win elections without loyal friends? Democrats can send money for the three fighters to apartment 36 in the house 21 Frunze street. (Kaliningrad region.) If Biden-Harris cancels the decision to confiscate foreign wealth and yachts of Russian oligarch Igor Sechin and awards him a billion dollars in compensation - then the American Democrats will have another influential friend and win more American elections! (Sechin's influence in Russia and the world is growing, his numerous protégés could help the American Democrats win the 2024 elections!) But the Democratic Party did not think to do this, because they do not want to win the elections in 2024. (Sechin will rob other Russian oligarchs anyway, his new wealth from this Big Replenishment could be invested in the Democrats' victories in the US elections!) That's why Donald Trump is winning! Americans want a victorious President, not a pathetic loser in the Oval Office. Kamala Harris doesn't even have the influence to get the British government to impose a new tax on the British to supply Israel! The ruling Democrats have not come up with the idea of legalizing the right of US prisoners and homeless people (especially those sentenced to death or life imprisonment) to join the Israeli army to help Israel fight. (The American Legion.) Team Harris is unable to negotiate with America's foreign countries so that their prisoners have the legal right to join the Israeli army too! Even though Israel is a staunch ally of the US in the East. Are you pro or contra?
