Congratulations to Karen Castor Dentel with her win in the November General Election.

Wes Hodges or Sunshine Grundt are my only 2 options by default. If you want a candidate who has the clearest objectives, the most experience, but is pro-Israel and supports genocide, go for Karen Caster. Dan Helm gives me the impression that he'll sue his opposing candidates in his favor and tear anyone who goes against him, which is shady and a no-no. To me, Wes and Sunshine are the best candidates here.

@@honestone490 Thank you for being an educated and empowered voter! Thank you for also highlighting the journey that paved the way to today. In 2015 the campaign was/did utilize the platform to try and protect 70+ acres that were on the chopping block (no pun intended). Actually started the political journey in 2011 and how/why I knew a part of the role was serving on the GOAA board and sure enough they started including citizens more in the plans. Knew it was a longshot and not taking campaign contributions had/has campaign disadvantages. Like paying people to canvass and/or buy signs and/or marketing materials, etc. It all comes at a cost though-and I am the only candidate self funded on purpose. While as mentioned this puts the campaign at a disadvantage technically in the election process-it is a clear advantage as an elected official only answering to the voters. A candidate running for another office recently said they feel like they are holding the water of their donors-to which I said the only water I have to hold is the voters and again that is on purpose. This position is actually perfect for that mission and leading by example. My dream is voters are educated and empowered. Interesting you mention qualifications because the previous supervisor, Bill Cowles, and I actually went to the same graduate school (UCF-Go Knights!). He is actually the one who also planted the seed about a decade ago after one of the elections wondering if I would run for this office and when he retired I started to consider seriously. I am very focused and agree that my unique and specific qualifications have indeed prepared for this role in public service. I will/have been making the word politician look good! In fact that is also a part of the dream- 800,000 voters reaching out to our candidates is more manageable than the other way around. Indeed the office of Orange County Supervisor of Elections is important!!
