Mate great job. Some really good vans out there, Kokoda has always been one of our favorites but the Crusader just kept pipping it for all round value. Love their MY25 models maybe include the Excalibur Serenity in your next lot. Cheers Oh that Hilltop looks the goods too.

I must admit I am very unsure about this. Firstly, you couldn't tie it down. Secondly, if you use the anti-flap kit, you would have to remember to remove it each time you go out because the weather could change at any time, and if the auto-close kicks in, you could cause a lot of damage. And at around $6400 for a 16-ft, that's a lot of money if you have to replace it plus the cost to the van. 🤔
@Col-i7s3 күн бұрын
I love the concept, but in the video the awning seems to sag a fair bit. I currently have a manual awning and use supex de flapper clamps to take up the sag. Can you fit an anti-flap kit to this solar awning?
@gorv3 күн бұрын
One thing that they offer are rafters that you can insert to take up some of the tension... but you need to remember to remove them if you leave the van as the built-in wind sensor will bring the awning in automatically when the wind kicks up, and apparently the motor is strong enough to cause damage if the rafter bars are still in place.

These guys have been in the game a long time have owned their previous atlantic models which were solid can’t wait to upgrade to their new models not many companies do 5 year warranty never heard off which is another big move wow.

Whether it works or not I celebrate the fact that people are wanting to invent products to improve caravans. I invented a system where we have 2000w of solar on an 18’ van. On a sunny day you can run the aircon and everything else for at least 7 hours before you start using what’s in the battery. I hope this is a great success for this man.

$6400 for the 16ft $5800 for the 12ft I reckon the awning itself would weigh around 100-150kg. Prob can't use a flap kit incase you squash or crack a cell. Looks like it sags more then an overloaded prado towing a van. Would be great to use when it's not windy otherwise it will be ripped of the van.
@sthnguy7793 күн бұрын
Finally ✔️ It will require a flap kit ❌️

Flap kit will prob damage it
@sthnguy7793 күн бұрын
Eventually the design will get better , I currently pull my awning in at around 30kph , but when I use the Aussie Traveller Anti Flap Kit I can keep it out until around 40kph.. Cost will eventually come down , maybe a combination of the current panels and the rollable polymer films in the future will be more durable and cost less to manufacture..🤷♂️ kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXvMfqN3rdqBgcksi=oN9O7qOje_ybmxaa kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5CYY2mYm7GFY6ssi=FIgrGH4_QT_5RBug

Now you have to park in the sun. Save the $$$ and get a dethatched ground mounted system.
@Aussie_Damo3 күн бұрын
😂😂 you do realise an awning blocks the sun to create shade and you have to roll it out to generate solar power. Not to mention the caravan is insulated with an aircon.

The fella states "its not just your glued and screwed and stapled construction," yet that is exactly what I'm looking at. Are there dowels holding the framework as well? The reason I ask is because I've been caught in the past with cheap, flimsy builds that look a million dollars on the outside, but when put to the test, they fell apart. It's a bit of "once bitten, twice shy." I am in no way saying this company caught me out before and won't disclose the brand that did, but I am more cautious about listening to sales pitches from anybody in the future.
@gorv4 күн бұрын
If you’re in the market, go check them out. I’m sure they’d be happy to show you what they do. Yes, these vans are ‘timber and tin’ but there is absolutely nothing flimsy here. I wouldn’t say they were strong if I didn’t believe it.

This is a joke! Go RV was promoting Tango caravans a few months ago then next minute the company go in to administration we all loss our money and you help one person who had also been been promoting the company before they went broke to get a free caravan! Then you post this video showing off how lucky they are to get a free this van all while other people lost all of their money and you have the audacity to tell her not to feel bad that she is the one person to get a free van! You should be discussed with yourselves both of you! I’m sure you were being paid to promote Tango vans before they went broke and you had know problem taking their money you are as disgraceful as Tango!

First of all is bloody great to see Sam again. That's a great looking van ,very well set out. I've got a older European van a Ariva GTS Lunar. It's so much lighter than our vans in Australia. I'm modifying it so it's fully off road we love it . but I wish more European vans got more shown & talked about. So thank for that 🙏.

whoa.. Sir, if you don't get the copper in the wire up to temp, the solder will not flow into the cable and you'll have a high resistance connection = a recipe for fire. Crimp correctly or solder properly, not both. Ideally, dip the cable into some flux then add to the solder pool and apply more heat until the solder flows into the cable. It should look smooth and uniform. You can absolutely remove the wires once they're clipped in if you need to. Just lever the tab down with a small screw driver or scribe and pull the cable.

Old caravans are a bit gross and the only way I reckon it's worth doing is to strip them back to the shell, that's why I think of them as a piece of junk containing more junk, with potential.

What a wonderful thing Nova has done for this lovely family. Now - all we have to do is to get the government to actually JAIL these fraudsters who rip us off! This entire industry needs to be regulated (NOT self-regulated), but actually regulated by the government. The government is supposed to work for us, not the other way around. Fraud should be a criminal offense. And not just for this industry! Now, there are so many other victims of Tango's collapse still to be sorted. I get what has happened here, but the Government needs to do something ... NOW ... PS: if I was in the market for a caravan - nova is at the top of my list! Thank you again Nova!
