Hey man- I think I commented the first time I watched and used this video installing a ZumoXT on my t7, but swapping out my GPS and pulled this back up for some reminder tips on the connections. Great pace, visibility of components and explanation of steps. Thanks again!

great video man super smooth tutorial 🙏🏽 im installing this to my zx10 but wanted to ask, would the black cable go to ground connection ? In your video you put it on the negative side of the battery, and putting on the red cable directly on the positive side of the battery, would that drain the battery ? cheers 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Just wanted to thank you for the awesome video. Sorry to hear about the hurricane damage, I hope that you've since recovered and are back out on the road. I ended up rolling the excess GPS wire into the empty auxiliary cavity on the right side of the cowl; there is an outlet that allows the cable to spit out right where the empty auxiliary connector is sitting. Again, great video, thank you for passing on the knowledge!

Thanks for watching. As for the hurricane damage, everything is pretty much back to normal but of course they are predicting this year to be one of the worst seasons ever. Guess we’ll see 🤞

Hey, love the explanation! Is there any reason why I couldn't cut off the yamaha plug and just tie both cables to each other?

Definitely an option. I just prefer to keep the factory harness intact and plug into it.

Did you have to use a drill press to drill the holes or can you use a regular drill?

If you’re careful and center punch the holes, a drill should work fine

People should know that Leovince welds in the baffle, and you have to dremel out the screw... which is close to impossible without destroying the exhaust.

Hello. Is the barkbusters better for wind protection than the stock ones?
@garyrourke32845 ай бұрын
That is my question also….I find the stock ones don’t protect very well from the cold ….hope we get an answer
@MotoSouth5 ай бұрын
Not much difference as far as I can tell. You could go with one of the larger variations like the Storm for better wind protection. It would basically just replace the plastic shield part.

Im about to buy them, but I dont know if the basic or bunker version, Do you miss the extra engine protection?
@MotoSouth7 ай бұрын
I’ve dropped the bike once since I’ve installed them and engine was fine. If you ride near a lot of large rocks then maybe it would be better to have the extra protection. Honestly, for me, now that companies are starting to offer more durable body panels, I’ve been thinking about ditching them completely to save a little weight
@andrewsmith9768 ай бұрын
I got the Heed full set of bars for mine, exactly the same procedure only you also need to take out two extra bolts on low point of frame, on left side at low bolts worth cutting cable tie and applying new one once bars fitted. Great quality bars and really easy to fit.

Just watched this. That is unreal. Tuned for the stock settings. I'm thinking about getting the 2024 tracer 9 gt plus or either the mt10. I think I would rather go this route rather than buying a full exhaust and then having a remap done. We'll see.

Just ordered the same for my WR. How bad is it when touring WITH baffle in? Say anything over 65-70mph?
@MotoSouth9 ай бұрын
I normally ride with earplugs and honestly the wind noise is more bothersome than the sound of the exhaust which isn’t bad at all
@nemerkha9 ай бұрын
@@MotoSouthgot it delivered and fitted. It’s fine with baffle, like it much more than stock. Rode it for an hour in town without a baffle though, that was just too loud for my liking. Had to ride with my mouth open!

I just finished up today, had my bars cut and tapped waiting around for 1fngr to come out with their v4 clutch perch/lever. I tapped them by hand with no vice, just drilled the tap until it bit, then worked it with a wrench and a pipe while sitting on the bars. It was a royal pain in the ass but came out way better than I expected. The other pain in the ass was bending that clutch cable housing. Had to break out my trusty pipe again to work that housing straighter, but the wrench and bar threads broke through the electrical tape and marked up the housing. Not the end of the world, though. I appreciate you putting this video together, it really helped. Glad to have the bars on too, they should’ve come like that stock.
@thewatcher64110 ай бұрын
Hey nice video mate, just a quick question what could these bars help with? i mean what's the difference between ProTaper bars and stock ones
@MotoSouth10 ай бұрын
Number one reason I went with them was for the look of the black bars. They do make turn in and steering better though. Also a slightly more comfortable riding position
