It isn't a WEF led not for profit that will create these changes, it is a collective shift and it is happening in spite of a certification process that pushes social division. I actively avoid B corp and buy from big hearted locals who sustain local culture and values. This is a nonsense globalist initiative

You guys need to really crack down on companies who have a B Corp certification while stagnate wages and simultaneously increasing their own employee housing rent. It's a nice sentiment that you guys have, but when an employer increases their own rent twice in a year while not paying anyone more is unfair to the workers. The B Corp certification has too many holes in it to actually make changes that help the workers beyond the bare minimum.

B Corps expropriate shareholder value for the special interest of others, primarily the radical Left. Fortunately for the radical Left, shareholders don't seem to know or care that their shareholder value has been taken and used against them. It is a bit like sneaking into one's home after dark and taking the silver...no one misses it until it is needed.

The "B Corp" is just another radical Left wing idea/ movement sponsored by the rich and powerful corporate elites in order to make themselves even richer and more powerful...at the expense of the working and middle classes.

How about going beyond equity-washing? "... organizing against wealth and gender inequality"... Hardly. BCorp is sanctioning for-profit business which, without accrediting nfp businesses with a higher ranking, is just equity washing. There's no information about its shareholder structure or who owns it, runs it or who started it.

"A force for good." Depends on your definition of 'good': "From mobilizing climate action with leaders across sectors, to dismantling white supremacy in our network and broader business community, to organizing against wealth and gender inequality, the B Corp movement is taking collective action on the issues that matter most to our global economic system." There's no information about its shareholder structure or who owns it, runs it or who started it. It's a cerification system for 'for-profit' companies that appears to do nothing to reward non-profit behaviour, so isn't it a weak system of peacocking? I haven't delved deeply, but I'd be interested to know what its certification has to say about respecting national sovereignty. Btw, the UN's SDGs don't include overpopulation.

The certification process is awash with identity politics and cultural marxist ideology and all employees of the company are required to participate in B Corp meetings and collaborate on how to achieve more B Corp points. Cultural marxism. what does B stand for? Corp as in dead?

Fish often live in complex social groups, they use tools and exhibit signs of anxiety and pain. However, fish are treated like commodities by the industrial fishing industry. Industrial fishing also has significant environmental impacts. Commercial fishing is cruelty to animals on a colossal scale, killing nearly a trillion animals worldwide every year. Ships the size of football fields use techniques such as longlining and gill nets! I urge you to strengthen accrediting standards for industrial-scale fishing operations. Thank you.
@cassidythompson5606 Жыл бұрын
The fishing, meat, dairy, and egg industries aren’t just relentlessly cruel to animals - they’re also a nightmare for the environment. Raising animals for food requires massive amounts of land, food, energy, and water. The byproducts of animal agriculture pollute our air and waterways. The United Nations states that urgent and unprecedented changes - including a shift to a plant-based diet - is vital to limit the catastrophic damage that will be caused by climate change. Animal agriculture is the leading cause of ocean dead zones, species extinction, and habitat destruction - and by some estimates, it creates more greenhouse-gas emissions than all the world’s transportation systems combined. A study in the journal Nature found that greenhouse-gas emissions from animal agriculture would be reduced by half if the world turned to a mainly plant-based diet. Every person who goes vegan can shrink their carbon footprint by up to 73% and save up to 200 animals per year. I urge your organization to strengthen certification standards in the industry immediately, thank you!
