Tie that mono/fluoro off to something on stretch it out real good before you hit the water. Get you some kind of anchoring system also. a stickin pole or small anchor on a pulley will give you better "boat" control. Love watching you's out there doing your thing !

I'm glad to see you have so much fun out there. Maybe I can hook you up with a couple day stay down here this "winter" to take a shot at some Fl Lg mouths. 91 here today, I'm waiting for it to cool down. I can set you up for a couple days though if you want. I'll get you a hotel to stay at. The fishing down here is much harder than than people think.

I was talking to my uncle about trout fishing earlier this week. He was telling me that if you're fishing stocked waters, you should expect to have the best luck with hot pink and/or neon green lures. He told me that farmed trout are fed with a food that is usually hot pink or occasionally neon green, and because that's what the trout are used to seeing, that's what they'll hit. I'm not sure how true that is, but I plan to give it a try this winter when the State stocks some of the public ponds in my area.

Thanks for sharing! With trout season coming back in full effect that will be very useful to us!

Rae's struggles with the grass in this one reminded me of a couple of things. One is the reason I don't fish treble hooks in grassy areas. The other is that sometimes, when you're fishing in a grassy area, your lure bumping through grass can feel like nibbles from a fish. I get this a lot fishing road runners and beetle spins.
@kastqueens20 сағат бұрын
Yes!! If I had a dollar for every patch of grass I’ve set the hook on thinking it was a fish lol!

@kastqueens5 күн бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it! We were worried about hooks at first too! The drop stitch material is very thick and durable. It would require some serious force to puncture it. But we still try to be careful when using treble hooks just to be safe!

For fire building, break your kindling sticks into smaller pieces. If it's wet on the outside, breaking it into smaller pieces will open up the dry inside parts to be able to catch fire more easily. Also, a bunch of tiny sticks have more surface area to catch than one long, thin stick.

Another fishing adventure on a very pretty lil stream. Definitely a surprising variety of fish too. The beaver was so cool to have seen that closely😮 Got tickled about who was gonna rock the waders first😅😂 The streams where im at our predominantly all stocked trout, sadly very rarely any carry over trout. I knowexactly what youre saying on the who gets there first, very sadly here, the dnr posts a schedule of what stream, day, date and approximate time the stock truck will be there. Unfortunately so many have made it a habit to either follow the truck in or fish the hole clean in just a short time afterward. No sport at all. Again tho, another wonderful video Rae & Maddie, see ya'll next time. Take care 😊
