Do you have to cut new grooves for the rew rotors? I've seen where people have used rew ,s4 and s5 rotors, but they always said that the slots for the side seals locations on the series 6 and down rotors didn't play well with the ports on the renesis plates.

is this turbo manifold available? where can i get one because all i see is the FD one not fc long runner manifold
@TurblownEng Жыл бұрын
Brian, we don't make this anymore after casting our FC short runner. The short runner works better than this long runner unit. Also much more durable long term...
@miestermind2 жыл бұрын
with JUST turbo swap and NO tune changes....it was able to produce almost the same boost pressure at the same 3500RPM yet the HP was less on the 9174, with a tune correction would you end up making the same or more HP at that RPM with that boost level? thus pulling up the bottom end tq?

The turbo is enormous, so the emp to boost ratio must be amazing. This will dramatically improve the reliability, but be omg so laggy as a result. I for one have been thinking of doing an FD3S, but with the price of RX8s being so low the Renesis looks like an option worth spending time on. I’m looking for advice and told I’m wrong to worry, because as compelling as the rotary is, the turbo size needed for power seems a bit crazy, I dont think I would enjoy the lag

Are you making any more turbo manifolds for the Renesis? Would like to get my hands on one to save a lot of time fabricating, doesn't need to be complete even, going V-band exhaust housing. Would also take a blem/used/damaged one.

Nice ლ(╹◡╹ლ) I've just rebuilt my Renesis using your stud kit although I still use the stock 10:1 rotors. I have run 22psi before on E85 and made 266kw atw or about 354hp atw but had problems with the variable intake plus other (auto elec miss wiring problems) Now everything is perfect it feels even better on only 6psi and 98(Australian Octane) I will dyno it next month and upload the results if you are interested:) Plus a mid Feb track day video will be made.

One thing that definitely needs to change is the type of antiseize. I used the same kind originally, not knowing the heat rating wasn't near high enough. I got some high temp antiseize from Ford that's good up to 2400F, but copper antiseize is good to 2000F and would probably work. I know this from experience because my EGT sensors in my first manifold are pretty much welded in for good now since I used aluminum antiseize like in this video.

Really curious to see how long this engine will/did last.. I’d love to run ceramic rx7 seals and do a larger stud kit with the CNC port work I’ve got done to mine to run around 18-20psi.. even with the much larger exhaust ports.. I’m not sure how long the block would last 😅 also would like to try an idea my engineer friend told me.. stamped copper coolant seals.. anyone have any experience with those? Should be much stronger and resilient, but I don’t know!
