What height do you set the float to? I've read 7-9mm from various places. My 2022 300rr can lean over to almost 45° angle before it starts to run out of the overflow tube.

Hey man, love the beta vids you’ve been putting out, especially the tech tip ones because I really enjoy learning from your experiences. Wanted to mention one thing in this particular video since this subject was brought up in this one: the steering lock. I cannot post pics here, so I’ll write it. When I got into my steer stem and bearings, found the lower bearing was pretty gross but top one was fine with plenty of good grease. Turns out, moisture and dirt etc. was getting in through the keyhole for the steer lock and since gravity does what gravity does, you know the rest. I have since blocked it off, never used it anyway. Just food for thought

currently owning a sxf 350, previously owned a 2016 300rr. Beta has its issues but what you get for the money its better choice than ktm i think. Also you forgot to mention stupid killswitch position, and why the heck did they get rid of rear sit grips? Now you have to buy straps and they are definetly not as good as those seat grips under the seat were. I am still buying it tho 🔥

90% of the connectors were dielectric greased. Only a few were siliconed that I won't be using in the future, such as the directionals.

hello fellow NewEnglander. I see you bought from LBI. Chuck is a great guy and very helpful. My first Beta was a 390 race edition. Great bike, but I switched to an xtrainer a year and half ago. My first 2t. I'm going to upgrade probably end of this year or early next but i can't make up my mind between the 200, 250 or 300. Lightweight is key for me, as i'm older (55) and have had a string of injuries last few years. Regarding tires/traction... I've gone tubliss front and rear. Love it. Never will go back to tubes. Steering stops - i removed the net spacer. The forks hit the radiator a little but no big deal as they have some give.

Did you have any issues mounting the gas tank shrouds to the rad guard? I bought the motoes rad guard and the mounting holes don’t line up.
@blackboxrr65722 жыл бұрын
Yes, I had to modify the shrouds slightly and they do fit tight. If I were to do it again, I would have drilled an alternative location on the radiator brace with a speed nut or well nut to make things easier.
@benapplebee33312 жыл бұрын
@@blackboxrr6572 thanks for the reply. I shaved some plastic off the inside of the shroud and got them to line up better. My plan is to loctite some studs into the bottom rad mount, rather than struggle with the bolt every time eventually stripping it.

For any one wondering @ 4:14 I believe this is the Mitas XT-454 , amazon and elsewhere. Mitas also has a dual sport, E07 + Dakar that is a RUN FLAT, I wish I could find a run flat for strictly Dirt. If anyone has had luck, I'd rather have some kind of run-flat than deal with a Mousse or that Tubliss' 90psi rim seal kit.

I have a 21 300RE , I just did all the plugs with dielectric grease like you suggested. I had a 13 front sprocket on and realised the 14/48 is way better (single track) maybe hard enduro different story, yeah it feels nice and grunty, but 3 gear is in the wrong place , Suzuki necj needle adds some grunt back , If you really need it lower , a 49 on the back might be better, I’ve found I’m riding smoother and cornering faster and no need changing up to 4th on small straight’s . Thanks for all your advice, good 👍 things to know

hey bud, how is the Midwest lever after long climbs ? mine drags when it is cold and slips when it is hot (in extreme conditions) thanks
@blackboxrr65722 жыл бұрын
Once you dial in the settings, I find it very advantageous to use the midwest lever. Depending on the terrain of the day (ie: MX track, trail riding or hard enduro), I sometimes use my index finger or middle finger with a simple adjustment of the master cylinder position. It's possible in your situation you might have a hydraulic or mechanical issue or even your transmission fluid. I'm contemplating on doing a video on how to repair a dragging clutch since this is a common issue.

Oh yes....🤣🤣 typical Italian build quality, NOT great, I had lots of stripped-out threads on the lefthand side from Brand New! Beta. I found this when I was fitting new after-market parts.... P-Tech radiator guards and Pro Carbon exhaust guard etc. Modded the P-Tech Rad guards top corners removed, so You can set the Lock Stops to get max turning as this is poor on the Beta's.

Yeah....I have a 2022 200rr and the seat foam sucks! way way too hard. Just in the process of modifying my foam, by cutting part of it out and piecing in some softer seat foam.
