The electrics on my '22 300rr Race were protected much much better than my '17 300rr Race. Although saying that I didn't have too many issues with the '17 300rr. I rubbed a hole on my horn/kill switch bypassing over my Scott's damper head brace. I was at a dead engine start hare scramble where I went to kill the bike and the horn sounded while the motor just kept on going... Weird.. Fixed the wiring with some liquid gasket and that was that. The only other problem I had was horn and kill button switches needed the inside connections cleaned up a little as they got to be intermittent after about 4 years of racing. Simple stuff. My dealer sent me the upgraded diode pack after I inquired about reports of charging issues. Beta had sent out a service bulletin to its dealer network and I received the pack free with instructions on installing the diode/capacitor pack. I've done most of the dielectric greasing of components on the '22 but held off on the bundle in the frame till after my first TSCEC enduro. Looks like I have a job to do manana...

Great videos. I picked up a 200 RE a couple of weeks ago and my "to do list" looks extremely similar to yours. Interested to see what you did regarding radiator clearance. as I have not tackled that yet. Very excited to get out on it once this Northeast winter decides to fade away!

that plastic that comes under the tank was not on the MY2020 Racing Edition. They introduced it later on. I can testify that on my bike the tank was chaffing the paint on the frame and that could be an issue on the long term.

My 2022 300 rr race has the plastic under the tank.

@blackboxrr65722 жыл бұрын
Yes, I plan to post a video on the difference in the kickstand next.

Hi. Will you put a radiator fan on your bike ? I think it should be on the stock machine. 🤔
@blackboxrr65722 жыл бұрын
Yes, in an upcoming video, I will be installing the radiator fan and temp sensor with the weather getting warmer.

Great videos! Thanks for sharing! Quick question, what front break protector did you get?
@blackboxrr65722 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It's a Polisport front disk guard but there's no direct fit for the KYB fork, only the sach non race edition front fork. So, I modified one from a Sherco/Yamaha KYB fork but it did require drilling and grinding some of the plastic, but I like the look so I made it work!

Are you sure that's not just a vent hose spinner? I've never seen one made by Moose that goes in the line like that, the one way valve that Moose makes goes on the end of a short vent hose.
@blackboxrr65722 жыл бұрын
This one does have the valve built in.

@@blackboxrr6572 Do you have the part number?
@blackboxrr65722 жыл бұрын
It's M8800 Moose Vent Hose Spinner

what kind of seat is it? The original feels to hard man.
@blackboxrr65722 жыл бұрын
The seat configuration that I'm currently using is a comfort standard height guts foam with a seat concepts race seat cover. Best decision!

Did you have to use silicone on back side of connectors in lieu of a lack of mfg supplied
@blackboxrr65722 жыл бұрын
Typically I use excessive amounts of dielectric grease to prevent water intrusion but using silicone is more permanent. Just make sure you can remove the connector later.

Thumb break? Who makes those?
@blackboxrr65722 жыл бұрын
They only make them for GP race bikes and they're extremely expensive. I'm actually working on a prototype now for my bike.
