I run tubliss with the Metzler rear tyre and love it..I find with the heavy sidewalls I can run 2-3 psi without worrying about flats or rim damage. Now this is for wet winter woods riding.

yeah.... even better !!!

I tried 4 psi with tubliss and smashed the ever living snot out of my excel rear rim using tubliss. I now never go lower than 5psi and 5 is suspect unless your an extremely slow beginner type rider !

Great info on the electrical components being exposed. Probably why I've got 3 fault codes since I bought it new 3 weeks ago.

Awesome video. I have a 2021 250rr and I went right over my bike and found a couple of problems with the wiring. But for most of it was ok.

Thanks for the updates, I had noticed the same electrical items on my 22 500 RRS and wasn't sure if I should load in dielectric grease. I'll do so.

hello fellow NewEnglander. I see you bought from LBI. Chuck is a great guy and very helpful. My first Beta was a 390 race edition. Great bike, but I switched to an xtrainer a year and half ago. My first 2t. I'm going to upgrade probably end of this year or early next but i can't make up my mind between the 200, 250 or 300. Lightweight is key for me, as i'm older (55) and have had a string of injuries last few years. Regarding tires/traction... I've gone tubliss front and rear. Love it. Never will go back to tubes. Steering stops - i removed the net spacer. The forks hit the radiator a little but no big deal as they have some give.

Skid plate will come off without removing pipe mount. It's got some lip that catches near the pipe mount making removal and mounting a pain. It took awhile for me to figure it on my '22 300 Race. Pay attention to where the skid plate gap and the pipe mount come together.

Will you cover the sealing and greasing of the electrical connections in one of the upcoming videos?

How would you recommend sealing these connections?

You should try the IRC M5B Evo rear tire. Just a superb tire for everything

Good to know. I'll keep that in mind. Thank you!

Do not agree on the tyres, Metzeler re great tires, but not the standard tires that come with Beta. You should try the Extreme Supersoft on the rear and the 90/100 on the front. They are very good for extreme enduro. I use the standard Metzeler as training tire at the motocross track and is ok..ish, but they cannot compare to Michelin or Dunlops. You are right about the seat, it is too hard, I put a layer of softer foam under the seat cover and it is acceptable. Just to put things into perspective, on my former KTM bike I was sporting an ACERBIS seat, the hard compound one, and it was ok. But the Beta seat is a pain in the ass :) literally. Maybe is not the hardness itself, but the shape of the seat - I ride road bicycles and sometimes the shape of the seat is the problem, if it doesn't fit with your bones. One more issue I don't like about the bike is the exposed bolt at the bottom of the clutch cover. If you take a hit on that bolt you risk damaging not only the cover, but the whole right side of the engine - which in my opinion is a BIG issue, especially for hard enduro.

currently owning a sxf 350, previously owned a 2016 300rr. Beta has its issues but what you get for the money its better choice than ktm i think. Also you forgot to mention stupid killswitch position, and why the heck did they get rid of rear sit grips? Now you have to buy straps and they are definetly not as good as those seat grips under the seat were. I am still buying it tho 🔥

Could you possibly detail the Baja led light set up you showed that can run off Dewalt batteries? Great videos so far by the way. I don't even have an RR yet but I came across your channel while searching reviews and am jazzed up about getting one in the future. Not to be an unoriginal bastard but im probably going to almost replicate your setup you've shown so far. Cheers from Oregon.

Yeah....I have a 2022 200rr and the seat foam sucks! way way too hard. Just in the process of modifying my foam, by cutting part of it out and piecing in some softer seat foam.

Hi there, thinking of getting the rr version, would the dealer do the grease on all electrical items or is this something you need to do before riding ?
@blackboxrr65722 жыл бұрын
The bikes are typically turnkey, you would have to ask the dealer to waterproof the electrical. Personally, I prefer to do it myself.

If you jam silicone in your connections can the current jump between the wires through the silicone??
@blackboxrr65722 жыл бұрын
No, the silicon will create an insulation. That's why when you apply silicon or grease, it's around the connector, not in the connector to keep out water intrusion.
@nickysstuntzest2 жыл бұрын
But you could just use contact grease inside seals and protects from corrosions no problem with contacts and around the fittings i would just Wrap some shrink tube or isnt that a good idea?
@blackboxrr65722 жыл бұрын
Yes, shrink wrap will work as well. I plan to wrap my rectifier plugs in the tail end with insulation wrap or heat shrink.

Hello. Does the Beta's 2022 200 rr and 200rr race edition have the same issues as 2022 300 rr ? Thanks
@blackboxrr65722 жыл бұрын
I don't believe so. It's a slightly different frame and wiring harness and I just don't have a lot of experience with the 200's. All I know is that they are amazing bikes and don't have a lot of issues.

get a bib moose, equivalent to 6 psi , or tubliss, and go with low pressure... you'll never have any deflection with any tire !!! :-)))

Oh yes....🤣🤣 typical Italian build quality, NOT great, I had lots of stripped-out threads on the lefthand side from Brand New! Beta. I found this when I was fitting new after-market parts.... P-Tech radiator guards and Pro Carbon exhaust guard etc. Modded the P-Tech Rad guards top corners removed, so You can set the Lock Stops to get max turning as this is poor on the Beta's.
