What does it mean by LP? I am going to age myself with this comment. You could get this on a record? That's amazing. Your generation was blessed to hear him announce games and watch Bo Schembechler coach. Even though my mother tells me Meechigan wasn't on television as much they are today.

I remember driving over this entire road, exiting on Highway 40 just west of the original Winter Park ski area - late 1950’s….. you could drive the whole route then 😊

Sad part about all this is the stores demanding three and four dollars for this crap that wouldn’t find buyers even at 25 cents today. But they keep having these delusions of selling it all. Pure dumpster feed.

Our ARC chain in Denver charges $1.99 across the board. After a week I'd they haven't sold they can be had for half price on certain days. I've found some real gems over the years. I'm a collector though and don't try flipping them like a lot of folks do. A buddy found, at this store, an original pressing of a Coltrane album that sells for $150 in good condition, which it was. That's the top thrift store score I've seen...and why I keep hunting. 😎

I got mine working this weekend, still need to fix the speed issue (not constant and a bit slow). Thank you for the video and thread on vinylengine! The sound quality is much better than what comes through in this video, imho.

@@Friendroid Sorry, just seeing this. i'm probably too late. I ordered them from Turntable Needles or something. Here's a link to the page on the thread on Vinyl Engine where a guy mentions where to get them. Maybe you can figure out the size from that. Good Luck. www.vinylengine.com/turntable_forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=113605&start=12

I'm trying to research these things because one of batches of bare root alpine Strawberries had a long hair like worm tangled in the crown and roots. I just cut the entire out from it. It grossed me out so much. I cannot find any studies or forums with a similar experience. If anyone sees this do inform me. The work was alive and moving. It was a white color if that's any help and about 2.5 inches in length. It really just looked like moving hair strand.

Excellent video! A great experience and well worth doing at least once. I drove up there in my tacoma this summer. It took me 1.5 hours to go the ten miles of trail. When the road ended I walked up to needle's eye tunnel to check it out and then spent the night in a tent by yankee doodle lake. It got real windy during the night and I didn't sleep much. The drive down was not nearly as much fun, bone tired, in the morning. The road is not challenging but is very bumpy and takes a long time.

A never-to-be-forgotten auto trip from east portal to winter park in the 1950s. I learned about the pass from a neighbor and coaxed my mother to drive over the pass. Her 1954 Ford sedan made the trip, though it was rough. In later years I would drive my dad's 1937 Ford over the pass to Winter Park (it had higher clearance). Too bad the pass is closed at Needle's Eye Tunnel; It COULD be reworked, but the cost would be prohibitive.

I think it's about an inch long. Mine was corroded and the hook on the tip broke off, but I was able to make it work. ( Sorry, I can't access your photo) Maybe you can see it in this photo near the top? It's rusted. It hooks to the metal arm and the plastic nob above it. snavarrephotography.smugmug.com/Vintage-Audio/TheSymphonettePortableTurntable/i-KmTKL54/A

I don't think so. The radio station operates out of the first floor, but I don't believe the rest is open to the public. I was under the impression they opened the entire thing for this event since it was an anniversary of some sort.
