Cool video! I have a 1972 Royal Scot that looks to be very similar to yours. I originally bought it at a flea market in Florida to ride to work, buy beer, putt around the hood, etc. I have since brought it to New England because I needed a city bike that could survive salty winters with little maintenance. It has beautiful manners; its low trail makes a Wald front basket almost requisite. I am very eager to relace the hubs to aluminum alloy rims. By no means is this a super fancy bike but it is bombproof. Peace and chicken grease, TC

Yeah, these bikes were built to last, eh? And have such cool, sleek lines. Since I made the video I've added a vintage looking Schwinn quilted seat, a brown faux leather rear saddle bag and a rear rack making a definite "rat" bike, but one of a kind for sure. Thanks for watching. Happy riding!

I have one of these. The fork decals indicate made by Phillips, a prominent builder at that time, but not as big as Raleigh.

I bought one of these just this week and found the same issue of no info or photos anywhere.. One of my decals read “genuine English lightweight “ .. It was so interesting i just had to buy it! I own two Raleigh bikes and they are very close in design. Wish someone had some info to help us out.

Is this for sale? This was my first bike. My father bought it for my 12th birthday.
