Bad bad bad tv will not turn on what ever I do will not even show light at the lowest right corner how do I fix it

However, my TCon's layout makes it harder for me to decipher which lines I should be trying to tape. The panel info is below. Can anyone please help? I would be very grateful. I don't understand why this issue even happens in the first place, i've only had this TV for a few months, less than a year and i already have multiple horizontal lines across the TV I do not have the money to get a new one or fix this one but i also don't feel like wasting 10 minutes watching a video just to figure out how to *maybe* fix it with tape. Can anyone just give me a TLDR? Also would be great if companies could just make technology work properly in the first place so we don't have to go through all of this bs 😠

So how did you know how many lines to cover up with tape in the first place ? You showed the clock cline numbers on the video , then skipped to knowing to leave clock line 1 then tape 2-9 , but didn't show any testing . ? I have a problem where my screen was white with vertical black lines , I covered up about 13 pins on SL cable and got a picture with the right side a shade lighter and less quality so do I just take 1 pun off at a time ?

Wow, you have 48 panels. I have 12 panels and some Lead/Lithium battery combination and I don't need grit power, thou we use electricity different than before. We use the heavy consuming appliances during the sunshine production times and sparingly at night. In SA where I live it is a no-brainer, we MUST have solar for various reasons, mostly to have electricity all times when grit power is regularly going off and to counter the extremely high cost of electricity, both because of the incompetent government who is the the only public supplier. Grit-tie is a nightmare here.

Great Video. I am surprised people are just learning about this for the first time. If you search through any Reddit TV repair or the AV forums this is a very common solution that is discussed. It is not a fix but instead you are masking the problem by disabling one of the TV screen features that was giving issues. To the trained eye you can always tell. Repairmen would never use this technique as they could get sued by the manufacturer.

hi! i queit didnt get how to narov down witch lines need to block? i have 55" lcd tv that have midle horizontal lines dissturbing image. how can i make sur lines to block? i tryed some which wasent giving signal throu to other side bu then tv put up error and was changeing 4 colors only... when i took off tape it was same. please help!

Interesting, yet you didn't FIX it. You came up with a patch, a hack, or a kludge depending on your electronic/computer background With the TV apart, replacing the board couldn't have been all that difficult at that point, you had 3/4 of the work already done nice hack though

Thanks for the video! I have a philips 43 inch 4k tv, i tried unplugging each side, the right side is white when unplugged and every other config gives black. I found some capacitors shorted on the right side, but im not sure how to go about replacing them, interestingly, it seems to be the same capacitors blown above each point the lcd connects to the pcb. 2 above each connection. Any help would be great! I am happy to use a heat gun to resolder new caps but not sure what to replace them with

Hi sir. If my toshiba 49u7750vm got no display like yours, still the same method? i got no logo at all. I already check the mainboard , is good. Already replace the tcon. When i unplug the ribbon, neither show the logo. I didnt check the panel yet. Any thought? Please help me. 🥲

Hi, I have a 50 inch Hisense Android tv, 50H8G, board number 261423, 261424, RSAG7.820.9615/ROH and I was wondering if there was a bios chip on it. If not, what component on the board does the firmware write to. If it wrote to an Ic chip then I could unbrick my TV and write directly to the IC. My TV has a white light of death after an update and I tried all fixes and nothing works. Thanks

Hey I tried this it worked but obviously not perfect if I just replaced the tcon board would that fix it the issue or is the ribbon the issue ? I don't mind spending the money on parts
