If you look at an 12 gen f150 the front doors are longer. So that’s part of the reason why measurements were different between trans cross member and front suspension cross member.

@@scottlance2404 i’d have to disagree because the regular cabs have the little extra doors and the doors are part of the body not the frame. It’s because of the driveline length differences between the 6R 80 and the four-speed auto.

I never liked the 281. I was a little more partial to the 5.0 Fox body the original 302. Because I had one in high school and there was no way to match that sound. But even that doesn't come close to the visceral sound and feel of a 427 big block with a flat tappet camshaft and a manual transmission. I wish that Ford would get rid of these garbage modular Motors and go back to a big block pushrod V8 with a flat tappet camshaft. I want to hear a big block V8 with a choppy cam. And for god sakes I wish Ford would get rid of all of this airbag this and airbag that and making cars out of plastic. Go back to a solid frame and solid steel body with a rigid front end that can actually survive a slight fender bender and still be able to drive home. I wish cars were built rigid and solid like they used to be. I just can't get behind the new Mustang 5.0 it sounds like shit it's not even a real 5.0. Not to mention the fact that it doesn't have a pushrod V8 or a flat tappet camshaft. It just don't have that old school American Muscle feel. It's a plastic car with a garbage motor. I also am not a fan of the new Dodge Demon . Number one, it's plastic. Number 2 , the engine just sounds two tame and two stock. I understand that it's supposed to be almost 1100 horse but if you got an 1100 horsepower car that car should shake the ground like a NASCAR and have a very choppy Idle with a big flat tappet cam. And the problem is the car is too quiet too tame and it just sounds too stock. If a car has a lot of horsepower it should sound like it's got a lot of horsepower.

I love that particular year and body style, and it hurts my feelings that you don't see a lot of these at car meets I don't know why but it is one of the best looking mustangs ever produced

once you get everything solved and the swap is running and driving will you be selling the swap kits? as in transmission mounts, i know you sell the harness already but like other critical parts needed would you be selling them?

Following the build. My 07 Lariat is at 245k miles and shows no signs of stopping (5.4 3v) but when it does, it'll be great to have all of this information available.

Ive been deeply pondering swapping my 09 4.6 3v. I just cant justify modifying the 4.6 with the extreme lack of f150 parts and the lackluster performance compared to the 5.0.

@@MattSoppa literally the best news I've heard in a long time! I've drawn up all sorts of turbo plans for the truck since I've owned it, but it's now sitting at 140k miles. I really enjoy the truck, but that 450hp limit has kept it basically stock it's whole life. Turns out owning an 87 Grand National for 20 years has broken my brain, and putting turbos on everything seems rational to me now 😆

Have you ever come across a Coyote swap that won't shut off? Starts up fine but when the ignition gets turned off, the motor keeps running. Been going through all the grounds but can't find anything. Any tips? The vids rock by the way!

It's got an electronic throttle can cam phasers in the ECU strategy, so I'd say yeah it's got a good chance of being a connector splice only swap. I really want to take a 3v and lock the phasers out, and run a V10 twin blade cable throttle body on it to see what it would've done if ford made a "fleet 3v" of sorts, like if the crown vic got a non vvt 3v instead of keeping the 2v until 2011.

Hi Matt, I'm Coyote swapping a Mustang Gen 2 into a 2008 Mustang. I found your "Return" Style Fuel kit, watched some videos and I thought it would work until I saw in the kit description about using your wiring methods. If I got a control pack from someplace else (and frankly, that was 2 years ago), will this kit still work? Just confirming. Also, assuming that you replaced the S197 fuel pump "because you were there" and that it's a direct replacement and not an upgrade, and that the S197 fuel lines will work just fine. Thanks!

@@jspyutube the fuel system will work whether it’s gen one two or three. The wiring with our methods I highly recommend going with a GEN one ECU. That can be accomplished with a GEN two you just have to convert it to gen one timing and phasers. With our methods, whether you use our plug and play harness or hardwire it using a one ECU will allow you to have your cruise AC and all your gauges work. That’s not easily feasible with any of the newer generation coyotes ECU.

What are the differences for manual swapping a 2010? Can we use the same ECU just flashed different? Any other special parts other than the usual transmission accessories and driveshaft? Would it still pass an OBDII emissions check? Thank you!!!

@@jaydenanderson9277 nope. Only had to make a power wire borrowed from the 4.6 battery harness. Only because it was missing on the 5.0 battery harness for some reason

Ok I need help i have 05 auto and just did a 07 manual swap everything is good on that the only problem I’m have is that the c110 is rectangular and the 05 is squared and don’t if I just splice the wires and put the same colors
