Very nice video, it has answered many questions that most other swap videos from other content providers leave out. I have had my eye on a 07 Shelby GT (Not GT500) that is priced well, and high mileage, but the body is mint. This swap would be really cool in that type of vehicle. Especially since the Shelby has some really well put together suspension pieces and 3.55s. Again great vid!

some long picks make getting the clutch line off easy. i had to do it twice because i guess I crunched my plastic elbow when i did my clutch and it was leaking. bought a stock line with new elbow. Also dropping the mid pipe makes getting to the clutch line easier.🤣you can unbolt that ac accumulator and get more room to get to that fuel line.

This will be a long comment, and I hope to get some of your input and honest advice. I have a 2012 Mustang GT with a Vortech V3 setup. I recently posted it up for sale and had a very interesting trade offer offered up to me. Two Mustangs for one deal, which definitely peaked my interested. He has a 2009 45th anniversary car that is Paxton Novi 1200 supercharged but relatively stock besides minor bolts ons. And the other car is what really gets my attention... A Procharged Coyote swapped 3v. It's also EPAS swapped and MT-82 swapped. It seems like a lot of the heavy lifting with the swap is already done. And he said it's powered by a Ford Control Pack I believe. It has the stock injectors in it right now and has never ran more than a minute without shutting off. But it does run. At the very minimum I know it will need injectors and a re-tune. He also said it needs a module to adapt up to the factory gauges to have a functional tach, speedo, etc. The car seems to be very clean and has a lot of nice mods that I can visually spot (he has pics of a clutch install with the McCleod RXT), stainless steel clutch line, BBK longtube headers, Boss 302 intake, aluminum 1 piece driveshaft, BMR control arms, etc. He claims it has OPGs but no paperwork, so I always assume with no paperwork it probably doesn't. So my question is, would it seem like a worthy trade to you? In my eyes it does, but I have a lot of friends telling me it's too much of a project. But even if it does end up being a larger project than portrayed, I still end up with another 3v that is fully driveable until I can get the Coyote swapped car on the road. It just seems like the hardest work has already been done and it just needs the minor fine tuning right now. Which also makes me wonder... It's this far put together, so why stop with injectors and a tune? There's a lot of variables but it seems like a gamble worth taking, imo. Anyways, awesome video and content and I hope you have a good one
@MattSoppa9 ай бұрын
Short answer. Yes. Seems worth the trade. Can always ditch the control pack use my methods seen on this channel. Many have done just that even mid swap

@@MattSoppaI've seen the plug and play harness on your site and it seems like the best way to go. I'm assuming I'd need a 11-14 Mustang PCM for it to work? Or is it not compatible to work in-line with the Ford Control Packs. I haven't seen the car in person yet, but I'm hoping none of the factory wiring hasn't been cut up. He did mention something about needing to run a wire to the MT-82 to activate the reverse lights. I'm thinking it's definitely a good bones type of car, and it's literally at the home stretch of being completed haha

Do the coyote stock headers bolt up to the 3v exhaust? I'm working on coyote swapping an 07 V6 and I'm not sure if I can use the exhaust system from an 05-09 GT or if I need one from the 11-14GT.
@MattSoppa10 ай бұрын
They do not. There’s a couple of ways to go about it. On the 2007 GT that we did last year. I put long tubes and modify the stock mid pipe to except ball flanges to bolt up to the long tube headers. With this car, I actually just picked up a complete exhaust system from manifolds back From the 2014 donor car that the engine came from . So doing it this way you just use 2011 to 2014 exhaust components. On the 2007 I use a 2005 to 2009 cat back components.

It all depends on how well of a engine donor you get so the little parts like harnesses and ECU etc don’t nickel and dime you. Our plug and play harness costs $1000 and if you’re doing it yourself a donor engine can cost from $3-6000. Could even suggest getting a whole vehicle donor as well.
