As so many others have said… nice job. THIS video series has really made me want to finally build a run stand. Some of the major design points I never considered until now, How to transfer an engine from a regular holder/stand,, to the run stand and back….Large castors for height, and the trailer jack is genius. Very nice 👍
@WeekendPursuitOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Thank you sir....1 other thing Id suggest is to mount the radiator on some sort of hinge mount that way you can swing it out of the way for easy cam swaps. With mine I'd have to unbolt the radiator to swap out a camshaft!

Never use any other plug in a engine except for OE, I wouldn’t even have wasted my time starting it with those plugs! If a customer has me install their own parts I let them know before I even start that they will be charged twice if there is an issue do to non OE parts! I have seen more check engine lights caused by the installation of aftermarket parts!

@WeekendPursuitOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
I was able to run the engine easily for over 20 to 30 minutes to break in the camshaft. Never had an issue with the battery or starting the engine. You could easily add that stuff to the engine if you needed to. In the video you can see the alt. bracket mounted to the engine.

adding dual 12" fans for cooling, what is the wiring process you used?
@WeekendPursuitOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
I wired my fans into the power switch so when I turn on the power the fans automatically come on but a toggle switch would work fine for that as well.

Great job. I will use many aspects of your build here. I wasn't a big fan, at first, of the trailer jack mainly because I like the idea of leaving room for the transmission if you want to run that in too. But, it appears your jack can move side to side. I think I'll incorporate some kind of trans mount or oil pan support off the same jack so you can go either way. I like how you retained engine rollover. I will see if I can figure out how to incorporate a crank rollover gear too. I think these stands make the most sense when they can also be full-on assembly stands. Well done!
