Roth seems to have used his vocals on the eat em and smile tour, when they did Van Halen Songs, and haven't really stopped...thing I noticed yesterday. Possibility they were edited in by the people who did the video, but billy sheehan and Greg Bisionette were barely singing, yet there was this backing singer wall of sound.

Im a huge kiss fan and basically for me i was done once they toured in make up with tommy and eric. It was getting ridiculous. Mixed with back tracking and mimicking i was done. Eventhough i think Eric singer is way better than peter, let eric be himself. Create some new characters. You mean the smartest sales guy's cant do that? Lazy

It's the Lucy Van Pelt school of management. It's a common ploy of lazy management, or in the case of Van Halen the only thing he was managing was his playing and his drug intake. And sometimes thats enough for greatness, the rest of have to work hard. My Dragons Breath has a stratocaster neck, ebony board and a nut that slightly slanted down towards the high E. It's a magical compromise from the tempered conundrum- and it sounds wonderful for crunchy dense shit.

The metal community is not homophobic. I think because of the image being perceived as macho that you can’t be gay metal fan is wrong. We are an inclusive bunch!

King EDDY was truly generational, inspired more long haired freaks to pick up a guitar than anyone else. A lot of people say Hendrix, I don't think it's close, Eddy's catalog is epic

Peter Criss in his prime, blew Eric Singer away, fact!!!! Jungle rhythm and jazz filled riffs and unique style and swing, and by far the best voice by any drummer ever!!!! Neil Pert, god rest his soul 🙏 said the same thing!!!!

The truth is Peter and Ace during the 70's were amazing and fantastic and 74-78 even on coke and booze amazing, after the solo albums, Peter and Ace were miserable doing the ridiculous Phantom of the Park movie, then Dynasty, was the last straw, Peter Criss and Ace didn't want the disco bullshit, and seen the writing on the wall!!!!! Proud of the career the Catman and Ace had!!!!

I remember in the 80's I was a bellman at " Hilton hotel" downtown Phoenix AZ. All the big bands stayed there, everyone from Ozzy, Tina turner, the stones, Isley brothers, the cult and "billy idol". Steve was going to the soundcheck and I took his clothes and bags to his room. When I went in (nobody) there I saw his "hamer" guitar, it was in the case. I opened it up😮 and checked it out! At that time he was calling it the "Barney rubble" guitar. It looked like the one @22:24. What a rush ! I put it back. Minutes later I saw " Ian Astbury " singer from the cult, front desk said "Ian" needed to get to the sound check (veterans memorial coliseum ) I took him in our shuttle. Band load in was under the back part of the coliseum , I pulled into drop Ian off , Billy idol band was wrapping up their soundcheck. What a time to be alive !! Steve was cranking! Jamming his ass off ! Great guitar player. Ps: nobody knew I checked his guitar out😊. Peace

What a great tone with the EVH sig axis and the Iconic amp ( I wonder if The Iconic would sound even better loaded with EVH brand 5150 greenbacks instead?)Of all Eddies tone evolution timeline , my favorite is his ErnieBall guitar 90’s hands down. The 5150 Kramer 80’s tone a close second.

I remember reading that with all the guitar layers that they wanted to do with Hysteria, using real amps was turning the sound into mud. The Rockman can sound thin by itself, but when you stack all the layers it ends up sounding full without being cluttered.

That is just freaking amazing. Any idea how hard it would be to train your brain to do the things that he does. In my opinion the challenge that he faced made him a better drummer. I'm not a drummer myself but I think some of the newer music is drums or more prominent

I don't get this thing with the Rockman. It has been absolutely confirmed that A) They didn't play each note of each chord one at a time for every song. B) They used the rack Rockman stuff, not the headphone amp. I know these guys were partying pretty hard back then, but why keep repeating stuff that isn't true.
