Here in Missouri where I live they can use blue I have seen them use red white blue on their personal security can do amber white and green tow trucks that have red and blue but of course you're not supposed to run them like that and where I live the City utilities guys use blue and on a couple of trucks have some red lights as well but not too many red mainly just to take advantage of the move over laws

Would you be willing to sell any of the leather shear kits by any chance? I like the style of those leather kits.
@collectornick42705 күн бұрын
Unfortunately none of mine are currently for sale however they pop up on ebay every now and then. One is on right now. The plain black leather ones like this on in the link are getting harder to find. www.ebay.com/itm/316153060004?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=QEq1yBTATri&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=nZlbx6wISqS&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

when you said "there isnt much that I can do on the inside" do you mean that you coudnt clean it up? it looked fine to me? Im asking because im looking at restoring one of these myself and my biggest concern is reconditioning the interior.
@collectornick42706 күн бұрын
I would have liked to clean it up better and replace the suspension straps and sweat band but the suspension and sweat band are unique to the helmet so finding replacement parts are next to impossible to find.

I bet. Winter tires is the key.
@darrenneiger744927 күн бұрын
I had the same tires on my lance. If you think they work good now, you should get them studded. It’s a game changer for sure. I was driving 35-40 on a solid sheet of ice, smashed the brakes and stopped on a dime. Now I have a set of Falcon Winter Peak that are not studded. They are Okay and would probably be a lot better with studs.
@collectornick427027 күн бұрын
Studded tires are definitely worth considering!

Long time to comment....I, as a 16 year old in the UK bought a new but frameless Alice Pack in 1982 dated 77 by Camel Carib Corp. I used this through Army Cadets and even up to 1990 when i left the British Army. I had a chance, whilst working with American Forces in BAOR/West Germany in 87 to buy/purchase a LC2 frame from the PX. Cost me 30 ish US at the time, do the conversions, i cant, it was cheap. When the older pack met the new frame....Love at first sight. Served me well with no malfunctions as a LC1 pack for over 40 years, i then sold it on. Additional, LC1 straps were sold on as the LC2 straps came with the frame. Frame came with the standard waist "clip" belt at that time. Just some info from an ex Military Cadet/Military Soldier that used this item.

I wore the same pair that I was issued in Boot camp every day of my 6-year enlistment. People hated them in Boot camp only because we were kids who'd only worn Vans, and Converse before that. Switching to leather boots takes time to break in the boots and for feet to adjust. Boot camp doesn't allow for a gentle break in period. It wasn't actually the boots fault. Considering those lasted for 6 years, 4 of which were hard, work at sea, constantly drug across the nonskid sprayed with salt water. Those things were tough. I threw them away the day my enlistment ended and now, 25 years later I've never had a pair of shoes or boots last half that long.

Can the sleeping bag carrier and field pack adapter be used at the same time? I like the M1956 Gear the reproduction gear and vintage gear is affordable compared to other options.

My handset connector isnt connecting with the audio connector. It doesn’t have a good grip for it to lock in place. I bought a new connector for the handset and that still isnt locking in place as it should. I assume the audio connector on the radio is worn down, but i dont know for sure. Can you suggest what i do?

In 2011, my brother and I built screen accurate kits to airsoft in. We removed the original lenses from our gas masks and replaced them with ANSI plastic and we also used a big tube of make a gasket to seal the filter on the mask. The only thing we had to change was using BAR pouches instead of Garand pouches to accommodate 20 round magazines for our M16s. Great job!
