Power paddles tend to be thinner 14mm. People who use power paddles tend to damage them quicker because they play more aggressively. I wouldn't worry too much of it breaking from hitting the ball if you are casual player.

I'm using my friends Gearbox PPE and I love it to be honest. It's already broken in so i already knew what to expect, but the grit is definitely worn but maybe because of the core i still get good spin because it sinks in. I'm hesitant, because when I use my other paddles it doesn't feel the same or as good. The PPE has something about it that is addicting, i play a very control oriented game and I suck at generating my own power. I haven't had an issue with control and the paddle gives me the put away power i need. The 275 dollar price tag kills me though.
@jordanplayspickle2 ай бұрын
@@BlGSac there’s definitely something about the foam core that keeps me liking it! I definitely go back to it more than most of my paddles that I’ve tried, once you get used to the feel it’s incredible! I’m a little sad. The Vatic was delisted because I think that there needs to be a cheaper alternative for sure 👍 I think I’m going to hit it alongside the new joola pretty soon so be on the lookout for that!

@@aaronsegal1682 I have been maining the shogun and Fat Boy while testing the Monarchs - hasn’t been jarring switching Shogun to Fat Boy, but switching the Monarch takes a minute haha- I think it might be with the long handle it takes a little longer to adjust. Thanks for the review, Jordan! How does it compare to the Shogun?
@jordanplayspickle3 ай бұрын
It’s hard to do a direct comparison because they’re quite a bit different, definitely lower swingweight and more substantial sweet spot for the Fat Boy, and honestly pretty close for power and pop (maybe a touch higher on the shogun?) but for me, I really love that feeling of the titanium on the Shogun! It’s a really satisfying feel, and I’ve gotten used to it so making drops just feels natural at this point. having the reach of an elongated is always nice as well.
